So what do you think ? Good or bad for the game and what could Riot actually do to change that trend ? Make dragon more valuable? I dunno, dragon's pretty much the only thing keeping the purple side duo down there in the first place...
Add a sixth jungle camp so that there's double golems or a double golem equivalent on both sides of the map, without moving the buffs around. Then purple side won't feel so compelled to lane swap.
I think it's fine if the thought process behind the lane swap is "our solo lane can 1v2 far better than their 1v2 lane", but if the thought process is "blue side always wins a 2v2 in bot lane" then there's a problem.

As a spectator I don't like it, primarily because it reduces the champion pool for top lane substantially.
In soloQ it doesn't worry me nearly as much because the only champs (that I play) that can't hold decently against an unpracticed 2v1 are Jax and Xin.

And golems. Same reason why blue sends their duo top, golems.

I doubt you'll ever see 2v1 lanes much in solo que- the majority of the playerbase has no idea why you would even do it in the first place, and no one has ever really played against it much, so the team that initiates the lane swap is almost as likely to do really badly as the other team. Which deters them from ever trying it again, because when that stuff fails, it generally fails horribly.
|
Not to mention that in pro matches you lane swap, then take tower in first five minutes, and then just reset the lanes so your top laner doesn't get too far behind in the 2v1. Solo que games don't generally have the teamwork to coordinate something like that.

Riot flagged the video to automatically have captions on via youtube. I'd imagine your cookies say you're from Canada, so it defaults to english instead of say, german.
As to why its dubbed, I have no idea. The guy is super monotone though, takes all the enthusiasm that someone has for their fav. champion out of it.

all my whats.

Dubs are useful if there are a lot of elements other than the guy talking that you want to focus on rather than reading subtitles (aka background art, fighting action, etc).
For an interview where the whole point is to listen to the guy talking, there is absolutely no reason to dub or localize it. For Chinese speakers you end up with a lower quality product, and for non-Chinese speakers you sill end up with a lower quality product because all the intonation is missing.
It's taking the Xtranormal robot voices and dubbed over Korean casters.

They just auto assume everyone in america can't speak chinese.

I'm just gonna wait till Tencent releases the full Chinese version of the video, and not watch that cringe-worthy dub.

Please report back if PDD is super monotone and expressionless.
