In a game against Shaco, he ganked me 5 times in a row and I never saw the orange smoke puff, despite his limited gank paths (J bush and their wraiths warded), paying attention all the time (he ganked almost all 5 in a row) and the nerfed range. Was it a change in the last patch to counteract the range nerf? Or is it another one of those invisible particles bugs that were talked about a few pages earlier? That was pretty annoying.
Also premade of 4 +1 against 5 solos. Having only a few people in the matchmaking queue definitely hurts. x)

Ja we must nerf Shaco more I don't like when good players rape me (this isn't directed at you I'm just super mad still) If you need +1 I can join in.

The general public doesnt know how to play him, tries to put him in a role he sucks at, and are surprised when he doesnt do well. tbh tho, his kit is such that, if he had just a little bit more mobility, then he would be exactly like the carry-jumping style of bruiser that is typically played top lane (eg, xin, irelia, jax). I don't really blame most ppl for not getting it. Imagine replacing his e or w with some kind of jump or +ms spell. It also doesn't help that he has, quite possibly, the most unique playstyle of all of the pokemon.
giving a hero a skill he doesn't have makes him a completely different hero.
imagine jax with xins ultimate basically they are the same champ now with some minor differences. (CD reduction and more spammable CC vs dodge all attacks and AoE CC and short aa reset nuke) imagine jax with udyrs turtle stance instead of his q suddenly he's almost exaclty like udyr but with a better lategame and a weaker early game (or at least for jungling, probably for lane better early game actually holy shit)

It's not about losing (premade of 4 so I let you imagine how the level 1 went anyway ), but it's the first Shaco I see since the patch so I paid particular attention so I could learn how long he can blink to now. And I saw nothing at all. That was pretty disconcerting: their mid wasn't very good at baiting and sold 4 of the 5 ganks away by running straight at me without any other apparent reason, so I knew Shaco would come and was looking for the smoke puff... and it never appeared. o_o But the patch notes didn't mention it, and it'd seem pretty strange from Riot to remove something like that. So I'm wondering if anybody else has had something like that, since a few pages ago there was talk about invisible Lux spells and stuff since the patch.

I've seen dyrus on 50k+ viewers back when he was newish in TSM. It's only a matter of time before someone breaks that though, especially with servers fucking up all the time ^^

Most bruisers have a total burst with no damage items of about 1k or higher. That means your irelia/jax/xin whatever can jump in use all their spells in 2-3 seconds ignite and just need another gapcloser to finish off a squishy target.
Meanwhile nasus has a burst of his Q, +whatever the burst on his E is, 210 or so maximum, which you can fire from range anyway so it doesn't really factor into the burst you get from closing the gap. The rest of his damage is sustained, r, e, q having a low cd, r bonus AD. Nasus shares a lot more with Udyr than he does with any of the standard bruisers
That fact that his W is really long and really debilitating but not a hard CC supports this playstyle. All of his kit works together to function as a sustained damage bruiser with utility.
This means that losing half your health to get to an AD carry with some of the other champs might be worth it because you basically take them out of the fight because they have to do damage all the time and you can just burst when your CDs are up. If you do the same on nasus you get 1 q off and then you also took more damage because you didn't have a gap closer.

You meant 2100, right?

Assuming you have 3142 or more ap yes.

I feel like I just lost 50 IQ points from reading the first few pages of comments on Doa's blog, please remind me to never read anything related to league again on this site outside of this subforum. I can only take so much "your players are obviously much less skilled because your game is ez-mode but Im all for ESPORTS so no bashing bro"

Eh how bad could it be *reads*
Eh could be worse, and then as I read further and further into comments I feel myself wanting to hulk smash a bus. by page four I realized I was going to have to stop to deal with the sudden headache. Damnations..

I dont exactly keep up with the tournaments and pro games; could someone explain to me why all these AD mids/Kayle/AP Yi are becoming so popular? And with most of these AD mids boasting a gap closer, and because of the new pot spamming builds, I'm having major problems playing my main AP champs versus them (they're all generally very squishy/short ranged). Is playing a pure tanky/sustain champ the new thing now? What AP champ can deal with this effectively?

So pretty bad.

The most obvious reading of your original grammar is: Q + E = 210 damage.
Hence, confusion.

Can't believe Voyboy is at 49k+ atm. He's so boring to listen to and hes just doesn't have any kind of flair that other streamers have that attract viewers.

He's a nice guy and is really good at this game. Does flair mean a douchebag and bad at game these days?

People see that there's no denying in league, or that you don't have to multitask as much as SC2, and automatically come to the conclusion that league is a kiddie game. If they don't want to take the time to delve deeper into a game before making a judgement, there's not much else one can say about it.

My only assumption is that hes boring, which I stick to after watching his stream several times whenever no one else is on.

And by flair I meant some kind of personality thats shown, something special he brings to the table, like Scarra, Froggen, or any of the TSM members.
Idk he just seems monotone to me, not as bad as Dyrus, and he explains things boringly, not as good as Scarra.

You just answered your question with your following statement o.o. They're becoming popular because they work vs. the normal AP mids and people don't adapt to playing more defensively vs. an AD caster/mid. I hear people have said the new item, Seeker's armguard, is pretty decent and helps vs. AD lanes. Sorry I can't help with anything more specific.

Voy does commentate well, and I agree not as enthusiastic or energetic as scarra, but his play is much flashier (and effective) than most streamers which is what a lot of viewers like. I see Voy as a mix between scarra and Froggen in terms of commentating and flashy skill. And he's also super nice.
