i wonder if difference between league devision and MMR will have any effect on the leaguepoints won and lost or if a 2k MMR guy gains the same per win/loss in bronze league as a 1k MMR. Also, what does the matchmaking change mean, i dont get it. also Fixed a bug where spells were applying more reduction than intended guess thats the missfortune nerf? | ||

You lose LP, but if your elo is higher than your LP, the system gives you more LP when you win, and if it's lower, it gives you less. So basically your league rating will get sucked onto your hidden elo like a magnet. If you lose LP for dodging, it won't affect your visible league rating at all, over time. I've never been in the habit of dodging, but as far as I'm concerned, if it seems like I want to the penalty just went down, perhaps substantially. | ||

Yeah there's no real penalty to dodging, but given how few people seem to understand how the system works, this penalty just might work. Although if you're on a promotion series, doesn't dodging automatically lose the whole series for you? That's a pretty big penalty right there. EDIT: actually, it might be a pretty good penalty. If you dodge once or twice, your LP will quickly get back to where it should be, but if you habitually dodge like 1/3 of all your games your LP could end up in a steady state that's much lower than the LP you would have if you didn't dodge at all. | ||

See, I try to make shorter.  More on Armguard: It also allows you, if you're facing a 100% AD team, to get Zhonyas and Armguard and feel good about it. As is vs. those teams I'd get Zhonyas and a second Chainvest, and not upgrade the thing till 6th item and maybe make Thornmail or some other thing. Not that Thornmail is BAD, but every item has to have AP on it. Duh. I think Armguard and the changes to Fiendish Codex are going to make the mid-game AP item changes much more interchangeable and organic. There'll be options to have a bunch of mid game items like a Fiendish Codex, Seekers Armguard, Haunting Guise and a Chalice in whatever order, with no major item. | ||
