Even though the range was shorter at the time, damage-wise it was still through the roof. But it had mp5 so "absolutely unthinkable to build on manaless". :<

You should learn new champions, and I don't mean learn how to play with them but rather learn how to be good with them. At least thats what I need to do because I have a small ranked champion pool.

I personally think Riot made the wrong call on this one. I already have Frostfire Annie and that's gonna remain best skin after the re-work because of the stun particle but they would've made so much money on Goth Annie for the small price of having a very very small minority of their fanbase slightly annoyed. I mean, I wasn't gonna buy Goth Annie either way but I think they need to be careful about how often they do stuff like this. It makes them look horribly unprofessional.

Fiendish Codex Faerie Charm removed from recipe Total cost is now 820 gold from 1000 No longer grants any mana regen Deathfire Grasp Recipe changed: Fiendish Codex + Needlessly Large Rod + 880 gold = 3300 gold (from 3000) Ability power increased to 120 from 100 I'm annoyed too because they gave more slot-efficiency to Zhonya's/DFG at the expense of cost-efficiency (when they're already amongst the most expensive items in the game, esp. for AP champs), but you won't pay for any mp5 really. You'll even get your CDR earlier.

You'll even get your CDR earlier. I imagine the thought process is that they don't want Deathcap to be such a mandatory item for AP champs. Just my guess. Unfortunately I doubt it will work very well. I do want to see how well DFG will work on mah Lux now though. I'm so torn. Actives range so short.

Woah Woah, Woah! Hold on a second there. Phreak is one of the only casters that I can say has noticeably improved as the year went on. Credit where it's due, he loves this game, he actually learns from people who understand it better and clearly puts in the time to make himself better. From when I started watching him, he's improved tenfold and he's even brought up the level of Riv, even if just by the slightest of margins

When I first started watching LoL pro events back in September he was one of the few casters that I enjoyed right off the bat.

It didn't necessarily upgrade into anything you wanted, but then it only cost 90g to sell it back. However, because the community has this weird stigma about buying items and selling them later we now have this new, weird Armor/AP item. It's not the worst thing in the world, but I disagree with the mindset which led to its creation. I don't really like this general philosophy at all (that all items need to build into something greater, and that they all should have a whole bunch of stats on them, and that every champion should have an item that is oh so perfect just for them). It's not really just a problem with this new ap/armor item but in tons of other items too. I think it pigeonholes a lot of champions into less options simply because there are rarely situations where you can afford to waste so much money on shit you don't need. The game needs a lot more interesting items in the 600-1500 range imo, and it can fill a lot of those places by removing unrelated or uninteresting stats from more expensive items so they can be cheaper (long sword+500g executioners calling with no crit and +15 dmg? chainvest+700g for an ohmwrecker with no mana/health? dagger+500g for a malady with less attack speed?). Also they could have just changed zhonyas to build from 2 cloth armors instead of a chain vest...
