Has anyone ever tried to build kassadin as a tank? His kit gives him innate MR and his damage goes up as more spells are cast around him. He's also decently disruptive with his silence and aoe slow. His ult could be good for engaging and positioning too. I don't really know what to build on him though, IBG seems like it would be core, but I can't really think of much else that would synergies well with his kit. RoA maybe? Warmogs good on everyone, even locket good on everyone. You could even go like boots+ 4 tank slots and a DFG and you would prob still be able to burst a carry down really fast.

I believe the IBG-Kassadin build is still undefeated. At least, last I heard.

I went 8-13-9 if I remember correctly and I was ok, but maybe about half? I will try again tonight and keep a closer eye on it. The thing with red is, that I very often use smite on blue late, to be 100% sure that it can't be stolen. So if somebody really invades me, that is a problem. But if you got invaded 1/3 of the time you're probably at a much higher elo than me and maybe people just don't react correctly to the Nasus picks in my games, which makes it easier for me.

I do the same with the warding at the moment. I carry wards no matter what I play. I got so tired of discussing with people the correct usage of wards, if I'm the jungler, I just ward for my lanes if they fail to do so. Might not be ideal, but setting myself back a few 100g is actually worth it if I can prevent lanes from feeding in my opinion.

check out the kassadin thread. IBG core Shake loves him some tank kassidin says he hasn't lost yet with it.

The problem I'm having with nasus is that I just never feel tanky enough. I got my hecarim jarvan noct trio in the jungle where I just buy omen/warmogs/sunfire/bc/frozen heart and win games. No one builds tank at all in my level (fuck you wukong top players who build just ad and never get any defensive items) so I feel obligated to build into a heavy initiation heavy tank style jungler that nasus simply isn't.

I just saw this, no idea where it comes from, I haven't found it on RoG or Surr@20, but I've asked the guy his source:
Baleful Strike
PASSIVE: Veigar gains permanent bonus ability power when he kills a champion from any source of damage. This stacks with the active ability's AP gain.
ACTIVE: Unleashes dark energy at target enemy, dealing magic damage. If this ability deals a killing blow, Veigar gains 1 ability power permanently. This also refreshes Baleful Strike's cooldown, and refunds half of its mana cost. This bonus is doubled for large minions, large monsters, and champions.

That's... wow. It probably wouldn't go live, but that's quite the extreme tentative tweak. Pew pew Veigar instantly annihilating waves with a Tear for 6 AP and 240 mana each.

I'm definitely chalking this up to Riot's impatience. The change to how stacking works literally revolutionized Nasus on its own. Oddly enough a Nasus bot in an AI game I did for WOTD fed on some people and got like, legitimately scary; it reminded me how frightening he is with a solid amount of items, kit being susceptible to some kiting or not.

Also don't forget the intermediate bots get free gold too (the farther behind they get the more free gold they get) so bots will get 'fed' by default in any game that lasts longer than 20 minutes.

Yeah, I liked it. I also liked just Frozen Heart on him too. The IBG was nice, but didn't quite make me tanky enough sometimes.

The trick is figuring out the timings. I was running 9/21/0 with Viktor runes (MS quints), so I needed to get damage somewhere at some point. Or if you have carry top/jungler, you can just go full tank and be an asshole.

I used it in Solo queue with mixed success, but that's generally how solo queue works.

i checked the kassadin thread and there's nothing there about IBG kass except for once post suggesting it as 3rd 4th item

man I don't know where it was discussed then. I just remember shake going crazy off of 2 regen bead opening with kass building tank and then taking over.

Probably because its a really silly way to build kass unless you have a teamcomp designed around it somehow. If you go tank normally you will just do none of the damage expected from mid and probably fail horribly. Any sort of regular ish kassadin build has absolutely no need For IBG because you already have a really strong slow, dont need to stick on anyone for an extended period of time, and if you did for some reason you have blink on a 5 seconds CD.

The only possible reason I can see running tank Kasadin is if you had some sort of wierd comp where you like warded everything and then had some sort of team where you'd just catch and kill anyone not with 5 teammates, and kass would initiate this and hold them in place.

I did a bunch of just melee Kass S2, but its much weaker in S3, mostly due to Cutlass getting shit on, which was what allowed him infinite sustain and an actually strong earlish game because it was OP.
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

Check early T.R.O.L.L.S. It was in the first round of testing.

This would be terrifying! Also means that Veigar can kind of reset in teamfights and nuke more often.

The weirdest tendency I see is that players frantically juking left and right trying to avoid Ezreal Q, even while Ez is just happily autoing them to death, but the Blitz hook must never be dodged.

Thats only noob lol players. Real high ELO pros know how blitz works, they know it so well that they dont even need to stand behind minons or out of range, they are confident in their pro juking skills. Have you seen that long ass animation on Blitzes Q? Only scrubs cant juke that. Indeed, many of them will dodge well over half of all the hooks, damn shame about the other sixteen.

When people talk about a percent gold lead (like team X ha a 10% gold lead compared to team Y) are you usually referring to a percentage of the total gold (X has 27.5K, Y has 22.5K; X has a 10% lead)? Or do people mean the leading team has 10% more gold than the losing team (X has 11K, Y has 10K)?
