Unless you got soft reset from S2, you start from 1200 MMR. You gain/lose about 40 the first 10 games. So if you go 10 wins 0 losses, that's 10 * 40 + 1200 = 1600, which is about Gold 3 or Gold 2. Assuming the MMR is the same as the elo system we had previously.

Hah, while somewhat true, S3 changes also hit Viktor really hard.
The lack of emphasis on MS in lane is two-fold against him. Running boots + MS Quints doesn't make as much of a difference now. Also, since boots aren't necessary, opponents can go ridiculous sustain early (flask or mass pots), which makes harassing incredibly inefficient and near pointless for Viktor.
Since Viktor can't be his old, huge lane-bully self, he can't get his power rolling early-mid game like he used to, especially against anyone who wants to play remotely safely. It's quite sad, really.
So, in my attempts to find another mid to take advantage of, I found Annie (partially because of the visual upgrade), and I'm quite enjoying her sheer power and utility.

I've been finding that as I climb up I can rarely go 9-0 in lane or whatever. It seems either they are playing much more passive in lane or I just can't snowball as hard as I do in norms. Hmm...

Some Zed tried to all in me on Sunday at level 2 giving me first blood as Kayle. Minions and the ease of sustain make it really hard to beat someone in lane being aggressive. I did the same thing Nasus vs Shyvana playing passive.

What I mean by aggression is harassing and shoving, you can win any unfavorable matchup by pushing lane, and again this is especially true for bot.

People make fewer mistakes as you go up. The reason you snowball so hard at low level is that both players make huge amounts of mistakes, gold from kills matter a LOT more because you're getting less gold from farm, and people don't play differently until they're vastly behind or ahead.

Does duo queueing place you against stronger opponents/with weaker teammates?
Was queueing with a friend of mine (after a 5 game winstreak solo) and we went something like 1-4. He wasn't playing very well, but it seemed like our team was just always significantly worse than the teams we played. Could be luck, but every time we laned together, the other lanes got roflstomped, or we had a jungler that literally never once ganked.

I also agree that the more aggresive bot lane win 85% of the time
thats why I hate people who play passive may it be ADC or Support, you have to be confident into your abilities, the more fierce you look, the more intimidated they will be, don't just sit in a bush as leona for christ's sake

I have yet to see Alistar banned in the last 2 months or so. With Machete and some AP his passive does work. Small wraiths were dying as soon as I used roar after pulverize at level 2. He didn't feel that slow.
