OMG. was he serious? I can't believe I missed that, that's beautiful.

Man old threads are so crazy. You get really dated gems like this:
Granted I'm not in 1600 ELO or anything

Smite on non-jungle GP? :O

Bankplank, +10 gold per smite, gotta make all the money you can.

Then we just get more teemos, likely.

On a side note, I know this is pretty lame and nitpicky, but I find it really annoying when people refer to spacing as 'dancing' or 'footsies' or something as if there were some gentle and complex art to it. I don't know how it works in fighting games but in lol it's a very mathematical and routine process to stand at the right distance from someone else and trying to describe it romantically is kind of... I don't know... embarrassing? Like calling pouring a cup of water "flowing your beverage" and talking about how much "feel" it takes.

It's about being in lane and trying to get in range to auto or use an ability. If you walk straight at them they will just retreat or throw a skill shot. So you go a little forward and a little back, while your opponent is doing the same. It is a fun little dance

So last time I posted here asking about lane freezing I got a ton of new info. Was wondering if anyone could direct me to Korean top lane VoDs, because it's basically the lane I'm most clueless about in s3/in general. It seems, at first glance, the easiest/most straightforward lane, but then I hear pros describe Koreans as "on another level" in top lane, and it makes me wonder what they are doing.
So basically, if anyone has links to s3 Korean twitch VoD lists or something like that, or general... information about top lane, I would appreciate it. I have Irelia -- is she still good? I heard some pro's qq about s3 being "about nerfing Irelia." I tend to die very early on with Irelia pretty often... is she like... weaker early on? Or do you need flawless E timing?

so with the s3 armorpen changes...
let's say i've got 34 flat pen (19 runes + 5 masteries + 10 brut/cleaver) and 43% (35 LW 8 masteries.. do they stack like this? lol). how valuable is that really? what if I went brut zeal LW on say, miss fortune, and finished cleaver/pd after?
basically can someone explain to me how those values of arpen modify the damage done on varying armor levels

Irelia has always been bad early on. You survive til 6 and start dominating trades around level 10 or so (if you haven't died), if you're trying to trade/outright kill most solo tops by yourself, that would be your problem. She's weaker in that phage costs more and stacking resists isn't as good as it used to be, but she's by no means weak.

basically can someone explain to me how those values of arpen modify the damage done on varying armor levels the 8 from masteries and 35% from LW combine to form 40%, it has DR, but flat armpen as far as i can tell stacks like 19+5+10 blah blah.
% is applied before flat, so you'll reduce armor by 40% then another 34 for your reg runes. not sure when the passive 25% from BC applies tho, id say 1st but im not sure

Waiting til lvl10 seems weird though... do you really just play passive aside from ganks til around then?

Black Cleaver reduction does indeed apply first.
@The guy asking about top lane. Irelia is still strong, but I think she requires a very good general knowledge about other top laners in order to play properly since you play very different depending on who she's against, so I'd recommend learning other top laners first (even though Irelia is a VERY solid choice).
Asian top laners in general just seem to exert a surreal amount of pressure on everyone else on the enemy team. An example of this could be of some tournament where the finals was Azubu Blaze with Shy vs Najin Sword with Maknoon and basically every game in that series was won by the top laner (to an extent of course). Also the Asian top laners are amazing at splitpushing (note: Stanley/Maknoon Nidalee or Caomei Rengar).

That's the thing with Irelia, sometimes you have to farm till like lvl 7-8 but even then if the opponents try trading with you early you can often make smart trades with E. Also there are a lot of top laners that you can basically allin in lvl 6 or 7 if they're already below 80% or so.
