It's even worse that this happened in OGN and not just low level games.
I also have yet to see teams properly abuse how good Locket is right now, especially in multiples. What happened at OGN? Riot nerfed gp10s pretty hard across the board coming into s3 with less stats, and less gp10 assuming suboptimal play.

I only go philo on supports that go well with AP (say, Janna... I should prob try it on Sona too but when I have to support these days I just go Janna to force myself to relearn her, she's to good/fun not to practice) and I get a pretty early Shard of True Ice to help with ganks and early teamfights. Plus you retain the gp5 anyway.
I could probably go Emblem->Locket/Pick->Pick/Locket->Shard on Taric, too. His AP ratios aren't half bad, he gets to be even more tanky and protect his carry through the hp5 and shield, and shard would give him one more cc in teamfights. Since Taric's utility is so low as soon as he's used his stun and W, having additional from items (shield from locket at the start, shard once you're wailing on people to help your diver or protect your carry) and then CDR to use your heal more could maybe make him feel less boring past laning phase.

I should probably get it more on Maokai and Nautilus but I like to get early spirit stone + mobility boots on them and then often find myself sitting on enough for aegis or most of its part so I just get it first and then try to smash bot or mid and force a dragon thanks to the aura.
Why in multiples? Was the debuff granting you only half the shield if several were used in a row removed?

I don't think any jungler needs the regen from both items, especially since a lot of your follow-up defensive/supportive item options force you to buy more regen (Bead as part of Locket, Emblem as part of Aegis, Chalice as part of Mikael's), which means you're pretty much only buying the Philo exclusively for the gp10--which is, yeah, fucking terrible.

Kakao buys SS+Philo on Amumu, proceeds to ult and insta-die every fight. Gets a super late Bulwark that's totally worthless because he can't even stay alive long enough for his team to get practical use out of the aura.

I dunno, even just Philo.
Your support buys Philo+Sightstone. Mine buys Haunting Guise. You guys literally can't win trades unless your jungler there. I mean sure you have GP10 and you can't get ganked, but then you just get zoned hard and lose lane.

Teamfights last long enough for you to use the 2nd shield at full strength and still have it be useful.
If the debuff lasted like 30 seconds, then it wouldn't be good in multiples, but 8 seconds is nothing. All that needs to happen is that the second locket holder needs to not cast his before the debuff falls off from himself.

Wait, wait...you're telling me that getting no combat stats in a season where flat penetration is a lot better and easier to stack is a bad idea?
That's patently crazy! Triple gp/10 Twisted Fate here I come! (you know someone in the pro scene is going to do this too -_-).

I still think supports should get a gp10. If your opponent has gp10 and you have a guise, the impetus is still on you to punish them for it. And the transition into late game in an even game will be tough. There are games where as I support I get no cs.

It not that hard to punish them for it.
"Hey AD carry, I have 25 more AP and 15 mPen and there support has... nothing. That means per round of spells we outrade them by 150+ damage each round of spells. Not only that, but I also have 200 more HP so I can tank too! Lets zone the balls out of them."
Hell, I think you should jsut never buy a Dorans blade too, because once you buy one or two impetus on you to do something with it. Might as well by GP10 instead.

What supports would really get a guise? Well, Leona I guess, but I don't even think Taric values AP and MPen that much. And neither really likes Liandry's (though Taric would get 10% life burn on his stun... lol). Wouldn't Blasting Rod -> Banner of Command be a stronger pick if you're an AP support in a pushing lane/comp? Or maybe Kindle -> Zeke's to make your AD better early?

Taric, Lulu, Nunu, Sona, Yorick, Zyra, Nami, Morg, Fiddles, Kayle, Lux... You know poretty well every viable support in the game.
Dont really need Liandry's anyway, its an early game thing. Basically its how supports in DotA work. YUou as thew support are less relevant late game, but it doesn't matter because your AD just like 60+ CS ahead. Its not really a puishing thing, it a do the damages thing.

If you are going to go for an offensive lane bully item on Sona I think sheen would be a better choice.

I'm at horrible elo but I really really really tilt a little bit when I see a supp getting philo+kage instead of a sightstone. i just wish every support rushed sight stone (in most situations), or least after their philo if they're heading to shurelyas. supports rushing shurelyas and having no ruby sightstone make me wonder what they're thinking... map control>item imo

It'd take a lot of magic pen and AP to overpower sheen's trading.
Ring and health pots really give the most bang for your buck though for building early advantages.

So I namechanged my smurf and made it into a toxic account. I'm intentionally being as much of a douchebag as I can in order to get banned. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Don't they have methods (tracking IP, comparing friend lists, etc) to connect it to your main account?

Sure, but that's only after you've been through the tribunal enough to get past warnings and time bans and up to permabans. He's obviously still a long way from that. On the other hand if a rioter comes through and reads that particular post they may get pissed at him.

they do not do that stuff, I have been using the same support account forever and I have had about 3-4 accounts permed. Everything is automated from riot these days, except deciding permanent bans.
also I do not really understand the experiment, if you call people trash in the wrong games and they actually report you, you're banned eventually, if no one reports you, you don't get banned. its a pretty cut and dry system
