Also some champ will never be balanced for solo q. Support at 1500 elo will never buy pink for evelynn, team will never split before amumu, no solo q team will ever know how to play vs karthus (I have a ridic 100% win rate on Karthus despite being really bad, I always lose my lane stupidly, sometime even feeding, but still focus on farming, then win later on when the whole team feel like doing their business in my defile). If someone can't effectively change their tactics based on the presence of a certain champ then they don't really deserve to be a higher Elo. Especially if people aren't willing to learn from their mistakes. If they get wrecked by Eve and don't buy a pink ward next game to deal with her then they haven't really improved and probably deserve to lose.
The problem is that Eve is basically like having a free 8-10 GP5 for your team during laning, more after. Stealth is dumb like that.

It's the result of the penetration and itemization changes. Bruisers/assassins are much, much stronger than before. Whereas before the jungle almost always needed to be a tank/cc champion, that's no longer absolutely necessary. You can expect to see more bruisers and assassins in general, not just in the jungle. I don't currently expect us to run into another full bruiser meta, but they will definitely be popular in and out of the jungle for some time to come unless Riot gives them the Diana treatment. Well, she wasn't strong until the jungle changes came out, but I think the jungle changes came pretty close to the Shyv patch so I'm not sure how relevant that is. The Shyvana patch was v128, and the jungle remake was v130, so you have your timeline correct. She was definitely terrible in the original jungle, which likely colored a lot of opinions even after the remake.
Also, some of the CC junglers just can't deal with the new jungle. "Oh hey you picked nautilus, let me kill you at red, steal red, then kill your midlane that tried to stop me."

To be fair, I'm pretty sure this also happened to Naut in Season 2, just a bit after he was always getting picked. People didn't take long to figure out he could get counterjungled hard.

Every time I see a Naut jungle when I play Morde I just push out two waves then camp him at red. It's hilarious.

Nautilus sucks hard before level 3 in the jungle, and his ganks really take off at level 4 with his Q available. He was also reliant on a pretty strong pull on blue so he could keep the shield up longer. s3 somewhat helps him with that because a lot of people stick around enough that you can almost get a smiteless even if they don't mean it now.
But Naut can't do a smiteless blue -> red because his shield will only be level 1 anyway, so better go for the standard route or even ask for a smiteless red and use it on golems to reach level 3, then run to blue. Most people willing to counterjungle him won't expect this, and you'll still have red for your level 4 ganks.

Anivia, Ashe, Brand, Cassiopeia, Ezreal, Janna, Jayce, Kog'maw, Lulu, Lux, Sivir, Twisted Fate, Zyra.
And the red buff.

yes the key is understanding you're not playing malphite. there are ways to using such champions, you follow the iniciation pretty damn fine and you are a giant pain in prolonged fights.
you don't pick him if the team lack iniciation. he's still damn fine he move real fast and has hudge bear pawns.
