What is the point? :/ If you desperately needed MRES as a tank pre-patch you'd wouldn't rush FoN anyway. At most you'd get two negatrons and then build HP/armor items afterward until you were forced to complete FoN some point after Abyssal. If you want to stack mres now you can do exactly the the same thing except turn your negatrons/NMMs into SV and Bulwark too. Both of those give HP *and* mres (which are more effective than mres alone). But stacking mres questionable post-patch anyway with all these burst ADs running around blowing everything up and the penetration changes.

You just had to make sure you weren't running a full AD team/that Talon got fed enough or was peeled for well enough that he did damage, right?

Pretty much, I just never wanted to see diana mid because her shield makes Talon's burst a lot less effective. Most mids will just die but because she is part assassin part tanky (which is a ridiculous combination) if she lands her Q she can WRQR and you will die if you dont pop your ult. The issue being Diana can do her combo far more often than you can do yours and your harass is about equal but Diana's longer range so the lane is hard for Talon. However with the recent patch I have no idea, this is my experience playing both sides of the lane last season.

Made a lot of unplayable champions a lot better, reduced the pressure for jungle to make big plays, new items are refreshing and add new strategies. Hell, the new item store is almost good now that I know how to navigate it. I just wish I could double click and still buy items. biggest problem: pre patch - buy 3 potions, 6 clicks. post patch - buy 3 potions, 35 clicks.

He always was a nice jungler, but on this patch with BC and phage he can gank like a boss.

Been trying flask with wards and some pots too, it's decent on the more tanky supports I feel like. Taric/Leona I liked it on. Downside is, because of no gp10, I always feel the need to go sightstone, and you don't always get to the >800 gold to buy sightstone + goodies. I have been going flask +3ward +2pots or flask + 2ward + vision ward depending on what i feel like. The flask gives lots of sustain in lane, more then any bead or faerie would. Depending on how much gold you back with you can either buy parts of a philo or a sightstone. Basically the only situation where bead/faerie would be a better choice is if you back with about 600, but less then 700g so you can buy a philo and a ward, but not a sightstone, AND you would not have used the additonal sustain from the flask in lane until that point. In my experience that situation is pretty rare. I find a flask very useful on a support, because it gives you lots of value for a small amount of money, which either increases your lane presence significantly or saves you a lot of money during the laning phase that you would otherwise have spent on pots.

Similarly, I've been enjoying this so far and I don't understand why people haven't unless the real answer is "I HATE NEW THINGS." No one knows JUST what'll work yet and how, but there's new variety and new strategies to attempt and Riot's on top of changing things before we get back into the competitive season. Sounds pretty good to me. On December 12 2012 01:16 Parnage wrote: Is anyone super familiar with Open Broadcaster? I have a friend messing with settings, he's getting some blockiness with his setup that tends to only get really bad for moments of intense onscreen action(or just running past pretty trees)I know it's a tad offtopic but that wouldn't be a problem with the broadcaster right? I seem to remember someone in here really praising Open broadcaster. That was me, and the person you might wanna (try to) ask would be R1CH. I don't know how he is about answering random questions, but he tweeted about being a big OBS fan, even over XSplit.

How would BC have remotely any effect on ganking? How are your games still in the laning phase past the point where you have a 3k gold major item?

Honestly, once I get to the point where I know WHAT to buy, I'm just going to put everything I'd buy on each champ into custom recommended items and never have to actually navigate the shop again--since the shop now supports more than 6 recommended items.

You just had to make sure you weren't running a full AD team/that Talon got fed enough or was peeled for well enough that he did damage, right? He has some tricky match-ups (against Xerath or Lux you pretty much have to rush enough AD to one-shot the wave, then go roam because their range, cc and armor/shield makes it annoying to dive them, for example), but he's hilariously good against melee mids (at level 2, walk up to them, W for the slow, auto->Q to burst them to almost half if they didn't get armor yellows, doesn't even need E!) and if fed enough his combo is more than enough to kill a squishy (ADC or AP mid). There's mainly two things that complicate his life in teamfights: first, his burst takes longer to output than Kha'Zix/Rengar (you want to EW->aa->Q->R to benefit from his passive on the aa->Q part, and his animations aren't the shortest) and he's squishier so you're more susceptible to cc if, say, the support stayed back to peel. I wouldn't want to waste E on Lulu just so she doesn't polymorph me/ult her carry during my combo. Second, he can't initiate so someone on your team has to do it or you must wait for the opposing team to do it then go in. He's got good range on his E (700) but if you try to go past a frontline such as Cho you'll just get popped before you complete your combo/give the 1-2 aa necessary to finish off your target. Flanking the enemy backline works much better, but this requires coordination with your team, and mobility. Imagine the way Misaya's Eve just splits from his team, positions himself then wait for the engage and suddenly appears from behind and gib the carry: Talon works a lot better like that, esp. late game, but he lacks Eve's tools to do so so you must play carefully.
