I think we had a sensible discussion yesterday about how it'd take 150armor to break even from the old BC and that's not factoring in changes to gold cost, your need to go 21 in arpen, and other things. I agree that removing the unique part is a smart idea for consistency. It was just an accident that got through testing that the items stats weren't unique. None of the item effects are unique, making it the first example of non-unique armor penetration and cooldown reduction item. The Black Cleaver debuff counts per target. So we all say fuck it and go all mid. Within 15 minutes we are what 10-15 in kills or something but have 7 towers down and win the game from there. People are so bad at not playing meta LOL. | ||

That way it is less abusable by ranged champs but still lets AD assassin types scale well into the lategame. | ||

It lets people stack damage while granting survivability which is stupid. No other pen item in the game grants resists/health, why does the cleaver? I'd be fine with the damage output if it made you a glass cannon, but cleaver grants health for no apparent reason. | ||

I fear the same thing's going to happen with these newly strong items and champions. Like BC is silly mainly because it can be stacked, yet R&D is hitting the armor shred numbers first. And I'll bet 10 bucks Ryze goes through 2-3 patches of silly mana ratio adjustments before they change/fix Manamura/Seraph stacking. Hell, they now have the implementations in place to do this quite easily; have the 1000 mana be a unique passive with the same name as the Tear passive. | ||
