That is true. I do hope they aren't stubborn and keep adjusting things if it doesn't work out the way they hoped. I have a feeling they will be stubborn though. I still have fun but if the comp scene is significantly worse then it will be a rather big let down.

I think they can safely further increase the strength of jungle creeps and the machete. You want to get it to the point where it takes at least two full combos from a mid laner to down the wraiths. It should take the average laner at least 10-15 seconds and two full combos to kill wraiths or wolves- like two binding/tormented soil combos or 2 daggers and 3 sinister steels from kat. Increase the value of the camps and the power of machete items.

Ultimately it's sort of an intractable problem. Both midlaners and AD carries get more reliable farm than a jungler and it needs to stay that way. as such they get sustain items and defensive spell levels faster than junglers, scaling them better against jungle camps. Junglers may be able to clear the camps a little faster, but they generally don't do it with any less mana or health loss than a midgame carry.

if you have no cc like that against a fed udyr you just need to jump their squishies and kill him fast udyr isnt mobile enough catch assassins like that, but the game was a total shitfest it looked like. You gave FB beacuse you shunpo'd to udyr into his stun when there was a creep wave at your tower gg wp

Also, I thought the changes were good and addressed a lot of the issues. How is reducing the gold gain from csing very slightly make the game all about roaming? wards, sightstones exist you know. You guys just old grumpy men who don't want to relearn it all over again.

I still think sightstone is a problem. Too many wards combined with the nerf to oracles (Which is a pretty reasonable change). I thought the goal was to make ganking more costly by making it more valuable to farm the jungle and harder meaning if you fall behind it's harder to farm. Making ganking almost impossible once 2 sightstones are up seems a bit too far.

It is too early to say if the changes are, overall, a good or a bad thing. The first tournament (I believe) to feature this patch will be IEM Katowice, which is a bit more than a month away. After that we can start to draw some conclusions.

Well, it really all comes down to the quality of your laners, doesn't it? Everybody knows it's a wardfest now, so people are expected to fight for the vision with pink even harder than before now that buying greens, for the most part, is unnecessary.

Also, I don't know...I kinda like the 5min 250 gold oracle.

Unique Passive – Butcher: Damage dealt to monsters increased by 10%.
Unique Passive – Rend: Basic attacks deal 10 bonus true damage to monsters.
Unique Passive – Key: Opens the large iron cages that now enclose each monster camp. Caged monsters cannot be damaged.
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

I think people overestimate the Oracles nerf. It is still a reasonable buy, yeah you need to have a good reason for it, like pushing inner towers or taking baron, but it's still alright.
Junglers are more concerned with roaming more than ever imo. Farming jungle doesn't give more than it used to early and early midgame, so ganking has less of an opportunity cost, and in the midgame and lategame when jungle creeps give more, you want your AP and AD carry to take them anyway. I think this is very very good for early game active champions (like Nunu) and worse for early and early midgame farmy champions, like Amumu.

If I had to make a prediction: the best junglers will turn out to be supporty junglers OR junglers with good initiation. I would expect Shyvana to go back to troll-level jungler, Mundo to kinda bad, Nunu to god, Skarner to bad, Amumu not a god but still good. Dunno how much did Lee and Xin get raped by the jungle changes, if not too much both of them have massive potential. Udyr allegedly clears ridiculously fast now and while he is neither supporty nor does he have initiate, he IS very active early game so he should be good as well.

Lee feels weaker in the new jungle, like not ruined but definitely weaker. Maybe its just me.

he lost most of his early game pressure and later hes just bad compared to junglers like amumu or cho

While we're at it lets just put a lock on the entire river. You're not allowed to go into the iver without key of george the jungle, which costs 5k gold and gives no stats.

well, i'm pretty sure riot's going to pussy out and revert a few changes (less damaging creeps or leash change most likely) because there aren't a ton of options right now

it appears that olaf is god, mundo and lee are next best, and everything else is really situational at best.

Nunu in the new jungle is amazing good.

He doesn't need the machete at all and can just troll the enemy jungler and build aura items.

I guess that's what he was doing before.
