I know passive went up, and minion went down, what's the calc for someone who gets say, 70-80 cs / 10 min, now vs before? Iirc someone here posted it... And it was like a couple hundred gold... Pretty insignificant when taking into account all factors. The siege minions got a 50% increase in value. it matters more WHICH minions you kill than before rather just having them only have a tiny gold difference (27 siege 22 melee 16 ranged) now it's (40 siege 20 melee 15 ranged). A wave is 105 gold now every 3 waves is 145. before every wave was 114 and every 3 waves was 141.
However. every siege minion is worth 1 more than the previous instead of every other siege minion being worth 1 more. so as time goes on so past minute 30 or so there is strictly more money in the new minions. and past 35 it's drastically more money.
an average of 8 gold lost per wave until 4:30 then it's 7.5 gold lost per wave 6:00 is 7 gold lost per wave. ect.

Farming and zoning isn't important just bursting down in roam ganks that's everything. There is almost no punishment for roaming as far as CS goes.
Or am I just being negative.
Fuck this patch, give me the league of legends i loved back

Like seriously, I'm glad I'm not a progamer or a caster right now and decided to go to school for my doctorate because they're basically like "well, here's a completely different game that we think you'll like better" every half year.

Idk I don't mind the change too much. Like it's definitely drastic but it IS season 3 and they DID promise changes. It'll be fun to see how the meta evolves. I mean people have been running support AD forever now.
I honestly just want replays, other shit doesn't matter.

Her ult is honestly the most troublesome thing. In laning phase it's rather broken and it's an easy KS button (kill secure).

I'm really psyched about gifting stuff and christmas comming up. I just need to figure if my friend would want a skin for Udyr or for Skarner...how does new jungle play out for those two? Udyr come out on top?

Black cleaver stacking...so annoying. Most games I've played lately have two AD assassins. Makes it quite hard to do much of anything. On a positive note, I'm really loving playing Ryze (the only mid I play) and I like the new jungle items.

I'm still certain that if they left the game with the S2 zed patch (meaning, they only released champs no nerfs/buffs), we would see a pick/ban change within 3-4 months. Stupid RIOT

True, but even without champ releases the game would change.

DotA goes through large sweeping changes ~once a year as well. In general, the teams that are successful are fairly capable of adjusting fairly rapidly. There's generally not some huge upset based on teams having to learn things all over again--though some teams do learn the version slightly slower than others,
Being able to adapt quickly to a new version and comprehend what's powerful represents your understanding of the game.

Riot's goal isn't change for the sake of change. The major patch allows them to address general playstyle trends they've observed over the long-term that they don't wish to continue (e.g. the trend toward low-farm 4th position junglers), and address design-related things that aren't necessarily "good" or "bad" but just design they don't like.
How successful they are at these things is up for debate, but at the very least, I'm ok with their objectives.

I would argue dota changes aren't as big as these. League as a game is just a lot more static and thus any change to it is a lot more impactful than dota
Also with your example it doesn't seem to match up with what they have done. They haven't done anything to address low-farm 4th junglers, if anything they made it harder to get farm in the jungle not easier?
