I think the issue with Kayle is not that Kayle is bad 1v2 or bad in lane in general, it's more that Kayle requires a lot of farm to be competitive.
If you do a 1v2 lane against Kayle as opposed to say, Jax, it's probably fairly similar, or maybe Kayle is a bit better at CSing. But you're still going to be shutting her farm down a lot, and considering she needs ADC levels of itemization to be dominant late game, that's a big deal.
Jax however is good when he has a ton of items, but he's also good if all the game allows him to do is get a GA and go around stunning stuff.

Nevermind why there was no Kayles picked this tournament, where were the Garens??? I think he could be very much viable if built properly, can pretty much handle any lane 1v2... I predict the first team that has the guts to pull out a Garen in a tournament game will have great success!

the worst part about the new splash art is that we get new icons in game. It's really obnoxious that I have to figure out who these "new" champions are when I have had their image burned into my brain for the last 2 years.

Garen is tends to get useless after laning so nobody picks garen, it´s the same with LeBlance, they both suck late game

Aahhhh fuck I'm the most indecisive person in the world. You know what? Here, you guys decide which champions I play. I know who I like Mid (TF), AD (Cait), and Support (Soraka), but I'm so ADD when it comes to top and jungle. I end up playing someone different every game for like 10 games in a row and failing each time because I don't know mechanics/matchups well enough for each. Riven and Skarner are probably my best mechanically/matchup wise respectively, but I'm just really fucking indecisive and need someone else to shove me one way or another.

I went for Riven and Skarner, because ideally I'd say Rengar(/Jayce) and Diana(/Rengar) but good luck ever getting to play them.
Though I THINK that Jayce is less instaban at this point.

I thought you were doing good on Gangplank.
I think Gangplank is good in solo queue at our elo because he can farm from behind and his ult lets him influence other lanes easily, and when he's ahead he snowballs like crazy.
Maybe bad at higher elos, but we ain't there yet broski.

Why Garen when Darius does everything better? /ultreset OP Darius does certainly have a better ultimate, but Garen can SPIN2WIN! Garen can jump right smack in the middle of a huge team fight and spin all the squishies, while tanking the entire enemy team like a boss (and laughing while doing it).
He may not scale quite as well as some others for super late game, but his mid-late game will dominate so hard the game probably won't last that long.
Garen is tends to get useless after laning so nobody picks garen, it´s the same with LeBlance, they both suck late game
If a Garen is useless after laning then he wasn't built correctly? I do tend to see a lot of Garens getting offensive items first, and these are the ones who fail - gotta make him tanky first, to the point where you can spin at champs while absorbing their hits, taking so little damage that you don't even think about needing to run away for safety.
Anyways I hate to theorize about this, just hope a team will realize Garen's potential some day and prove me right!

Play jungle draven. Shits going to get real in s3 with him. Also play him top mid support never lose again.

I want to try a no jungler game with somebody someday, with 2 supports. I've got this crazy idea for it. Might be terrible but I want to do it so I can stop thinking about it.
You take a top laner who is weak early and requires a lot of farm, and a second support who is bruisery and can initiate but doesn't need farm (Leona almost def.)
You then play super aggressive top lane, idea being to force the enemy jungler to focus up there, making it essentially a 2v2, only your duo has synergy that their duo does not.
The comp idea I have for it is: Leona / Gangplank (top) Twisted Fate (mid) Soraka / Sivir (bot)
Early game Leona/GP/TF kill blue at level 1 and give the first blue to TF, allowing him to ignore blue cards and push lane real hard. Soraka/Sivir is a naturally aggressive and pushy bot lane. Leona zones the enemy top laner and GP can free farm. Every 5 mins Leona goes down to help TF with blue.
Mid game every lane has a global ult they can use to help the other lanes. All 3 lanes are good at pushing towers and just get the towers down as fast as possible, reducing the amount of time where the enemy jungler ganking is a relevant issue.
Late game, both GP and Sivir have attack speed buffs, and GP/Sivir/TF can all scale off attack speed. Leona initiates into a GP ult, and GP/Sivir/TF stack their attack speed buffs and kill the enemy team. With no Smite needed you have one more combat summoner than the enemy team.
Would also probably work with a Jarvan support instead of Leona.
Might be terrible! But I think it sounds fun.

I don't think Gangplanks job is to kill the enemy top laner. His job is to freefarm as much as possible and then win late game with his free QSS, awesome team fight ult and high damage.

The problem i see with that is that you give up a lot of dragon and bot-buffcontrol by basically letting your jungler camp top 24/7. I really doubt that you can easily force their jungler to always be top, and if their top is able to somehow deal with being 1v2 for a bit, the enemy can easily take dragon and/or do evil shit bot.
Of course it can work when unexpected, but i think it is pretty cheesy. Of course, depending on situation you could have your Leona roam, which would basically mean you have a leona jungle that never farms, but could work out pretty good. After all, there is not that much money in the jungle, so as long as you control buffs and give them to the right people, the roaming leona can do the job of applying pressure on the map. One problem i see is that Leona will fall back in levels pretty fast.

Shes best played top, although she can be a solid counterpick to mids like morde, and can jungle if your team has a tanky top/support. Support kayle isn't really that viable, but if you know how to play smart aggression with her, you can support. Don't ADC kayle.
