That was Gamebattles--which is strictly online. iam pretty sure if coca cola (or dr. pepper)would sponsor an event you would not see pepsi anywhere. Its business and I am pretty sure valve would do the same.
dr pepper is a pepsi product!

I'm not saying I disagree, just that it shouldn't be dismissed as false in the same way as the "stream window in client" and "S3 team exclusivity" stuff was, because it's more or less confirmed. Also, I'm fairly certain that nobody in the DotA 2 camp was (or at least shouldn't be) chastising LoL for having a stream in the client when you can watch major DotA 2 tournaments in-client as a spectator. IMO Riot should actually be encouraged to embed the stream in the client, not chastised for doing so.
thats true. but many people on both sides put it in the same bag.

good lord he's carrying. their draven is 1/5/1 and hasn't gotten a kill or assist in over 20 minutes. I have no idea how that's possible in a game they're winning, especially since he's with the team all the time. Teemo likewise useless, but lee's back is big like mountain.

I am not doubting it's authenticity, so much as I am doubting it's lack of.. flexibility. If MLG wants to have DOTA2, they don't seem overly restricted from doing so if they can actually put on an online dota event. Except for the nightmare of bringing around even more computers, booths, and such for a live event. I am not saying we'll be seeing DOTA2 at an MLG event anytime soon but I don't think it's out of the picture entirely either. Perhaps I am being too positive, I'd like to see everything have fans at MLG ideally.

Watching DL and Locodoco practice bot lane is so painful, they want to make the play so much that it backfire them in almost every encounter. DL is bad at decision making but usually blame Loco for it, lol.

Have a question regarding how to handle jungle pressure.
I had a game yesterday with me playing Vayne. My buddy was Nunu and we faced off against Tristana and Alistar. It was going ok. Tristana was ahead by around 20 creeps but I had a kill advantage. She was 2/3 and I was 5/2. She rushed for IE while I finished my BT before her, so there was this timing where she couldn't fight me anymore. My nunu was on the ball and every time they pressured us, he bloodboiled me and we pushed them back. If they stayed to fight, Ali would die and she had to jump away.
What happened next was that we pushed them under tower and got ganked over and over again by the enemy jungler (mumu). I ended up 5/5. I knew the lane was lost when she finally finished her IE and just bursted me down with a Ali stun combination. They took the tower after that and laning was more or less over.
What could I have done better? a) Should I also have gone for the IE and not BT?
b) My nunu was warding the small bush. Should he have warded further out to see mumu earlier. We tried to escape the ganks, but for some reason we never managed to make it out in time. He would just walk into the middle of the lane and press R. When I could move again, there was usually a bull in my face and a gnome was sticking a rocket up my a.....
c) What do you do in general? Stop sieging the tower, just push the lane and then back off? Gank mid in the meantime? Wait at the tower? In hindsight I was way to aggressive, but what to do with the time when the lane is pushed? Or just try to freeze it and farm? But what is the point of building the BT, when your enemy is going IE and you can't be aggressive.
|
What side were you? How you play bot lane differs drastically depending. If you're blue side you can just push shove the lane into tower and go back for doubles, rinse and repeat. Purple side you won't have the luxury of doubles, so it's often safer to not pressure tower (especially against alistar for god's sake).
|
General rule of thumb is the further up the lane you are planning to be pushed the further downriver you need to ward. IF you are pushed to their tower and you only have the smallbrush warded you are not going to have enough time to get out.
so in my opinion
a) No, BT was fine b) Yes he needed to ward way further down, and then you can just react to amumu ganks.

Hope you have 7 monitors.
|
Snap all seven streams to your monitors sizing them correctly, then watch them all at the same time for as long as you can until you reach a state of League Zen. You will then know all the secrets of League of legends, or be really confused and disjointed by the experience. Either way, I believe in you!

1 ward is not enough against the mummy, he can spider from everywhere.
you could have asked your jungler to countergank while you were still ahead.

aphromoo and wings are duoqing but luckily they're on twitch and their stream is valuable to me - i will watch vods later when streams aren't going on. this leaves me with 5 streams and that should be managable in 2 monitors. toyz and jiji will have biggest shares. lets do this just some random notes man dinh is turning into a whiner/standard soloqer and i can explain why if anyones interested in my theoriez toyz is a god.

he's actually quite bad mechanically and he loses a lot, way more than he likes he has a lot of knowledge of the game and values his opinion a lot (none of this is wrong) so whenever he loses he gets even more frustrated this lead to him thinking that he deserves to be more elo and evolved him into a whiner just like any other soloq guy who believes in elo hell and that all these bad people are dragging him down another reason why he whines is he's trying to convince people(and himself) that his mistakes aren't his fault and are random coincidences happening or his teammates being bad, it's quite an interesting but stereotypical imo example of a fall from grace anyhow i have indeed achieved zen peace

I approve of Dryus taking up the least screen estate.
