You just need a little experience to get past the "WTF just happened" stage. There are a lot of different ways to combo shadows and use them, you just have to think about them ahead of time so that in game you can set your self up physically and mentally to perform the combo, like W backwards R->E->Q->auto till R pops-> run back for W escape. After some play on the PBE I still screw things up but as a whole things are a lot less confusing. | ||

His skin looks pretty fun though. His Q is a pass through skillshot, imagine Cait's Q with less delay and damage diminished less. His E is like Katarina's E, with no MS buff and a shorter AoE. His W and ult create an untargetable clone of him, copying his Q and E casts (think Lulu's Pix for the way Q targeting works). You regain some energy if somebody is hit by both your cast and your W clone's (doesn't work with your ult's clone). Note that the clone travels a set distance (so you can't create it on top of you to ensure your spells hit) and that it can go through walls. A clone's Q is the same as yours, but if both hit the second one deals less damage to the target (50% less, same as Zyra's plants for example). A clone's E does no damage but slows. If both hit, the slow from your clone's is increased on targets in the overlap. His ult is a gapcloser than pops a clone on the other side of your target (you won't appear behind them or anything, you just advance to them, and on the opposite of you a clone appear). It also places a mark on your target (which is hard to see). After 3 seconds the mark detonates (which is even harder to see) and deals total AD + a % of all the damage (physical, magical or true damage) you dealt to the target during those 3 seconds, as physical damage. You can swap places with both of your clones by casting their spell (W or R respectively) while they're still present. Only one swap per clone. His passive is just bonus damage on your auto if the target's below half-health, with a per-target cooldown (think Jarvan's passive, except harder to proc). On the whole, it's confusing to get because there a whole load of initial information, and no parallels (like people expected "shadow" E to deal damage on top of the slow, or to deal additional damage if both hit, kinda like Q, while it's not the case), but it's pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. He is very, very energy-hungry though. The energy return on his W isn't even as much as the W cost until higher levels, while you level it last, so it's only to alleviate some of your energy consumption during a burst rather than sustain it over time. | ||

I think playing against him will be a mix of those two as well. You need to be aware of his Shadow's zone control like the ball, and predict his sneaky jumps and pokes. However, without a real gap closer early (assuming you don't get caught out by a shadow switch), I think some ranged champs should be able to put a lot of pressure on him. On a separate thought, I'm thinking of streaming when I get the chance. Is it even worth it, or will no one want to watch a shitty player trying to improve? | ||

just imagine one day someone deleted the entirety of TL site, then put up an ad for command and conquer. yeah. speaking of syndra, i've played like 20-30 games on TT with her, and i haven't lost. i'm not sure why... narrow corridors make for easy stuns? boots/meki pendant start deals with her early mana issues to the point where she absolutely dominates lane? i have no idea. | ||
