Didn't 2xlift say he wants to play in Korea? Does CLGNA want to move over entirely or something?

For comparison:

Leona Patch Ezreal:
Q: Costs 30/35/40/45/50 mana
W: Did 80/130/180/230/280 (+0.6 AP) damage, 120 width, 70/80/90/100/110 mana
E: unchanged
R: 150 mana, 100 cooldown

Ezreal now:
Q: Costs 28/31/34/37/40 mana
W: Does 70/115/160/205/250 (+0.8 AP) damage, 80 width, 50/60/70/80/90 mana
E: unchanged
R: 100 mana, 80 cooldown

Ez back then was extremely mana hungry in lane.

He also had the misconception of having a "weak late game" thanks to a very popular TSM streamer named TheOddOne

Ezreal's late game is definitely not comparable to Vayne, Ashe, Tristana, and Kog'maw though.....

Ez will still be very strong, most likely still top 3 AD. His entire skillset just works so well together. He can be extremely mobile if he needs too and let's not even get started on how his escape skill is without a doubt the best escape skill out of any AD carry.

What *I* think is going to happen is that Kog'maw will run amok after the Ezreal nerf

Lategame is where AD's shine. Any AD like MF, ezreal, or cait with a really strong laning phase have this weird misconception that they suck lategame. What they forget is they're still an AD carry, building a fuckton of damage, and attacking from range without real cooldowns, while everyone else has to rely on cooldowns and their health not melting to the fuckton of damage.

somewhat agree, I've switched to maining him a few days ago and am something like 8/2 with at least a 4-1 KD ratio so far. Ez is the only champ who can give me trouble in lane, and only because of that debuff.

You know, I really don't know why riot are averse to simultaeneously nerfing and buffing an ability on more than a cosmetic level. With a nerf like this, I think it would be reasonable to drop the mana cost of the ability a little or increase its width or length again (widening the particle this time)

Frankly, I think it's less they need to nerf ez/graves/corki and more that they need to buff up all the other AD carries a bit. Unfortunately doing so with the current scaling of AD items might be a problem, so they also need to perhaps tone down late game AD stacking and make the items a bit more specialised and less synergistic, less raw stats and more unique effects. As it is ADCs have a hard time making an impact in the game before they hit critical mass with bruisers that can stick to them and obliterate them and AP carries that can one combo them at level 6. Even most junglers are a reasonable threat to an unfed ADC early midgame. Carries like ez/graves/corki are strong because early midgame they can act in a limited sense like an APC with their burst and utility which gives them the tools to contribute to a team when any other ADC would be stuck on tower bottom lane, farming for their life to get an inf edge.

Alright I duo'd with my friend who was genuinely bad at the game. (~1000 ELO) and carried him up about 60 ELO with my smurf while on the path to grabbing janna skin. No one can last hit there. No one. People build GP10 on EVERYONE because GP10 actually earns them money faster than last-hitting atrociously does (3x avarice blades in the game, two kages(one was mine), on non-support characters). He claims to be in ELO hell but going legendary on anything I felt like playing proves otherwise. All-in-all 1k ELO was fun. (Also, the level 1 camp the bush and hope he facechecks thing was embarassing. I did it one game and facepalmed so hard against janna+ashe)

Ez back then was extremely mana hungry in lane.

The numbers you listed are from before leona patch where he got ult cd reduce and W mana cost reduce, and leona patch was more than 10 months ago.
But anyway, ezreal really isn't that different from what he was a year ago when people were calling him worst hero in the game bar eve.
This was also when people rushed cdr boots, brutalizer, sheen and wriggles and then never built ie and said he was bad because his endgame sucked

Also comparing lategame ADs is meaningless without considering compositions IMO

He doesn't do as much damage as a lot of AD's like kog, vayne, and trist, nor has as much utility as ashe. But what he does have is saftey thanks to his low CD on e, plus q's long range. Even corki's w isn't as low CD, albeit, corki does more damage in comparison.

I'd have to somewhat agree.

Ezreal has GREAT lategame teamfighting because of his E + Flash

His lategame DAMAGE though is nothing compared to the so-called hyper carries.

Vayne IMO is the best hypercarry because of her ult+tumble being a great escape in conjunction with Flash as well (much like Ezreal)

On another note, I just picked up Frosted Ezreal because PFE's animations were really starting to bug me, and I must say I feel like he plays SO MUCH SMOOTHER. Everything feels that much more responsive. I know I could have just gone back to his default skin, but I saw Frosted is only 520 RP and it felt worth it.

i think i was one of the minority of people who liked the nottingham ezreal skin, since i thought he looked like link. That was before they changed it tho... now it just looks goofy.

honestly, the stronger ad carry is just the one with more items

and when both teams have maxed item ad carries, it's more of the team comp + the skill level of the ad carry that determines how hard an ad carry can "carry". The champion you're playing is negligible unless it's tristana in which case it;s like fucking impossible to lose late game rofl (although tristana is a pain in the ass to try and farm 6 items on)

I like that skin too, although I'd never spend RP's for it. A color change just isn't worth it to me. I just like the green jacket l0l.

I think Ezreal will be okay. A lot weaker early game, but still alright. His W will still give attack speed boost for allies, right?
Kinda sad that they're lowering the skill ceiling of Ezreal though. It was really damn hard to hit W on effective targets late game anyways, but now they're just removing that aspect completely to where pretty much W will only be used on allies.

Yeah I got really annoyed @ Pulsefire Ezreal animations too. Also everyone had PFE so I didn't feel cool using it.

Now I'm back to Hipster Nottingham Ezreal.
