Not to kick SC2 while they're down, but having SC2 talent enter the Korean LoL pool is still pretty big news for us. :O
Puzzle switching is a bit weird, given that his big strength was always his APM and LoL really just doesn't require that.

If you feel like doing that for everything then ok. Also I've explained this before but a lot of stuff only applies at lower elo and vice versa. Sona might beat taric at higher elo but taric > sona at lower elo. Really only someone who has played at every elo can know why something works given the skill level but something else doesn't. So lots of times lower elos who post stuff that looks blatantly wrong actually apply correctly to their worse skill level and there's nothing any high elo can say that can disprove it. (Unless it's me who has played at every elo bracket more than anyone).

sometimes it's not worth spending the time arguing about being right...
either it's a lost cause, or you just want them to learn why it's wrong by themselves.
when i'm trying to teach some of my friends some stuff i really just wanna tell to play a game and make mistakes instead of just pointing out what to do. i can tell my friend to orianna ball me when i use diana and tele in and use E so she can set up her ulti, but that requires good reaction and timing that you get through experience and when she whiffs it i can't really be mad when she's trying ori for the first time.
i usually just post here to mess around and toss some ideas in my head but honestly all the real improvement comes from playing games, evaluating what you did wrong, and remedying those mistakes here. when i try to break meta i run it in games with friends instead of just idly proposing it, and even when i run it in games i still need to identify the disadvantages and run it multiple times to see if there are any flaws.

pretty sure if you ask anyone whos played at 2k if they think 2k is good they'll say no its trash elo, no one is good, which is exactly how I feel. Lol@ people thinking 2k+ players are worthy of giving opinions on the game, everyone is fucking bad except for the few people who actually understand the game regardless of elo.

that's why i never say anything but obv i know when somethings terrible advice so then people are like omg why u only flame and no explain? There are very few people who actually know what's going in this game and one of the requirements is 5s experience, doesn't matter how much solo queue you play there are certain things you will never be exposed to if you don't play 5s.
Basically I just don't understand why people don't realize they don't know what they're talking about.

That's silly if anyone truly understood the game they'd be the top players in the world. You can't argue that their "mechanics" are bad or something that might have been plausible in starcraft but definitely not in LoL.
Bad isn't a state that makes your opinions irrelevant, it represents an uncomplete understanding of the game and a tendency to make mistakes based on lack of awareness of the situation. This includes many aspects of the game including picks and ban phase.
However everyone shares both those problems and people have understanding in different areas therefore froggen might think azubu frost was better than TPA but Torch and most others predicted Azubu frost woudld lose yet froggen is clearly the best player here.
Look at how awful hotshot was at jungle and still is. Nobody understands everything. The game as a whole is so massively and chaotically complicated and if people really "understood the game" they wouldn't be surprised by new picks and strats.

Last time I checked Gragas was pretty popular, so fat people are fine. Doesn't really have to be ugly, and in the end, it all comes down to the character's abilities. So it sort of makes the art design "controversy" a little bit pointless when people aren't playing champions based on breast size.

It's not really that I can't play him, but I really dislike playing him, even if I win. But on a more serious note, our community is pretty damn insular if I may say so. For the most part, we know who talks legitimate theorycraft and who's just talking ideas/wants more discussion. The really, really bad posts either go the path of PrinceXizor or are secretly mocked off the boards.
afaik, I don't think we need highlight markers for "gud" posters. Our population isn't even close to warranting such an add-on.
On a side note, for Season 3, more goodies for our subforum. Obviously the main priority right now is the Worlds Write-up. Our staff also has an insane editorial about LoL coming up. Lastly, I'm hoping to revamp and shape up our champions/team list before Season 3 officially starts.

I have always wondered what would happen if we suddenly got an influx of people for whatever reason and how the existing community would deal with it. My theory is that people who follow our system would be treated fine, and anyone who posts like this was Reddit would be swiftly dealt with and ridiculed.
In some ways, it's much better here than in the DotA forum simply due to the fact bad posters are quickly called out for posting bad. At the same time though, there can be personality clashes at times that can become heated. Neo has been pretty lenient with everyone (as has Chill, Beyonder, etc. when they visit), although sometimes the other external Mods and Admins take a harsher line.
