Am I the only one who feels that TheOddOne has not streamed for a long while, like a month or so? I wasn't able to follow the LoL scene for the past month.

TSM hasn't been streaming in preparation for Wrolds.

Im kinda sad that jangler pretty much never really go for offensive items anymore in the current meta. There is basically 2 slightly different builds.Shv and Noc goes wriggles into ageis and boots 2. Pretty much everyone else goes double gp5 into ageis and boots 2. The only variation during this stage is when to get boots of mobility and oracles. The choice after this is usually between FH, Randuins, Shurelias or a negatron cloak. Most games would be decided at this point and you won't ever see 1 offensive item.

Remember there was a time when I think every jangler build wits end? I kinda miss that.

People finally figured out that with current farm distribution schemes, it's not efficient for a jungler to buy damage. Multiplicative damage scaling means that it's most efficient to stack damage on carries that already have damage, and a single damage item on a jungler that only has the means to get one the entire game is largely meaningless. A teamwide boost to fighting effectiveness is more useful than a selfish boost to your solo fighting power that isn't actually going to let you kill anything because you don't get any other damage items. This is true so long as we have junglers getting as little as 1/3 of the laners' cs. You just can't perform any notable amount of offensive work on that kind of farm and to pretend otherwise is a joke. "Every jangler build wits end" was essentially everyone bandwagoning Saint on what was ultimately a selfish way of playing the jungle that is not suitable for competitive play.

The only way to break out from this is when people realize the possibility for alternative farm distributions involving carry junglers and supportive laners. Farm distributions that favor laners only are required to persist through the laning phase, and the laning phase itself is getting shorter and shorter. Farm allocations that give a greater share to a late game scaling jungler, and puts a top or AP into a more low-farm supportive role are possible--though they still are unlikely to become standard in a solo queue environment.

To be fair it was suitable for the playstyle back then. Everyone just aimed for late game and held lane for as long as they could until they decided they had enough. Hence junglers had time to farm all the way till wit's end. It was cheaper back then too.

It's still not because again, lategame average defensive stats makes a single damage item like that largely meaningless. Lategame is actually where it's least effective because that's when multiplicative scaling is most relevant. It's actually more effective if you can finish it in time for midgame fights (because it has high raw cost-effectiveness and multiplicative scaling hasn't kicked in yet when your carries are only on 1-2 major damage items also) but on typical jungler farm you're looking at your first major 2k gold item around 20-ish minutes, and Aegis is overwhelmingly more effective for those fights than Wit's End (but nobody other than Jatt realized this--when Jatt was on his "buy Aegis on everyone" spree).

People undervalued aura/team items by a lot as well.

I tend to rush Aegis on top lane whenever I get fed enough and "more offense" won't necessarily make me stronger (if I already have phage on Wu/Irelia/Olaf and rushing triforce (on Irelia) or randuin's (on Olaf) wouldn't make me even more fed) and most of the time unless the botlane is ridiculously fed the support is generally sitting on boots1, double gp5 and one piece of aegis (or shurelya in case of ruby).
When playing a champ like Maokai or Nautilus I know I'd love one of the laners to get aegis so I can rush FH (unless double AP) because cdr does so much for them. Aegis is better teamwide but I feel really weak untill I have at least shurelya or glacial, so whenever I have those junglers with me and I'm top (or fed support) I do my best to rush aegis so they can focus on tanky cdr.
Sometimes they don't notice and we just have a 20 minutes double aegis.
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

I think for season 3 SK(Ocelote) and TSM have the motivation to get better. If they stay true what they said in the interviews after they went out.
Maybe some of the new NA teams will raise the bar in NA, too. My bet is on TSM and SK to make a lot of progress.

Well,I might give the Dota key away tbh don't have the time to play it.Not really interested in HotS beta but can't really give that away since it's tied to my bnet account.

There are some upcoming teams in NA that are going to unthrone CLG NA at least. TSM at least show the resolve to improve and they are going to improve. The problem is that the Koreans and the Chinese improve at a faster rate and the gap is just gonna keep increasing.

TSM seems to have motivation for sure, at least according to Dyrus's post on reddit and the following ama.

Edit: Also, is anyone else having problems with the league client? Just did a ranked game where it wouldn't go from champ select into the loading screen. Had to relog twice before I finally got in.

I like his analysis that he'd like to play more often against players like Shy because he'd learn a lot more about what he can get away with and what he can't.

I'm Lvl 22

when should I start considering playing Normal Draft mode?

I've played around 50 Normal Blind Picks and the people that get matched up into my games range from < 10 Normal wins to 1350 ELO.

Been playing Kha'Zix for a bit, and he would be so strong in lane if you max and evolve W and get blue buff.

Why evolve W first? More damage, heal, and the AD is only really going to add up later on when you have your BT (IE ~lvl 11). All his skills scale with bonus AD after all. His evolved W is easy as shit to hit (can't be juked unless someone has blink), and sets up for great ganks with E+Q if your jungler responds.

The main problem I'm still having is trading in lane and the last evolution point. Do I want E reset or R dmg reduction? Tough choice. And trading in lane, I'm still not sure if I have the right runes/masteries. I'm currently playing with a standard 15AD page with flat armor/mr. And my masteries are 21/0/9. I've thought about giving up the 21 in offense to get both the early HP and manaregen, but his evolved Q should synergize really well with the last point in offense.

Are there any high elo players who have found out how to play him effectively yet?

Play them when ever you want, the only difference is that the que time is longer and the first 3 picks hog top mid and jungle.
Only thing is,you need to own 16 heros(including free rotation champions)

I thought the real issue with problem with playing normal draft pre-30 was that most people playing it have been already lvl 30 for a long time (and play normals cuz rankeds too stressful / "can't escape ELO hell so I play normals") and have full mastery pages and all the runes and hurt your lvl 22 ass too much during laning phase.
