I know that Aegis of the Legion is a fucking amazing item really cost efficient that rocks in mid game and makes all your nooby teammates who never build resistances more durable. My problem is that I can't figure out, as a jungler, on which champions and in which situations should I build it. My scrub level common sense tells me that I should buy it when every lane feeds and enemy team pushes mid to abuse their window so that they don't feed any further and can hold on tower. It also tells me that it should be always built in tanky junglers because they don't require to rush individual resistances or ad/ap/aspd sources, such as Alistar who does nothing but stay there knocking people down and all-chat spam "you can't milk those", but not in others like Malphite, because he already has a strong aspd debuff and enough damage output for the enemy not to blatantly ignore you. But others are not so easy to figure out: Mundo, Shen, Maokai, Udyr, Amumu, etc. Obviously I'm not asking for individual advice on each champion, but I'd like to know if there's some obvious criteria to follow regarding on when to get Aegis and specially, who to get Aegis on. Support getting it instead is out of the equation; too many scumbag supports who seem to have higher egos than carries themselves.
