Can plat/diamond players explain to me armor quints vs hp/5 top lane? I want to hear how lane mechanics would work in high level play. All I know is the basics that hp/5 is better to heal up and armor quints wins you trades.
Alright. I'm not in those high ELOs but the math goes like this:
Health regen (flat) 3x = 8.1hp/5
Armor quint (flat) 3x = 12.78 armor
Assuming you have 40 armor before the quints are factored in. If you take 1000 physical damage in a minute, with health regen, you'd take 714 damage. With armor quints, you'd take 655 damage. If you don't die because of the extra 60 damage you're taking, the regen quints will heal you for 97.2 health meaning that the health regen is more useful.to your laning ability. When damage comes in small amounts over an extended period of time, health regen is better. When damage is coming in large amounts in a short period of time, armour is better.
Hopefully the math makes it clear enough as to which is better in what particular circumstance.

The way it's coded I guess: Maokai can't go back to his original position, and you can't simply "cancel" the particles like Syndra's ult or even Nautilus' ult interact with stuff like Vlad's pool, Akali's shroud or zhonya.

This is a team game so obviously no matter how good you play sometimes it just isn't enough.The one thing I hate in this game is how lucky people get carried and others have to deal with their BS.I have a friend with best stats in his last 10 3/6/7 and he has 10 wins and is ~1550.I know stats don't show everything but when it's that bad you know what's up.I've been playing a smurf and the game I've won with the worst stats is 6/5/6 riven when I started 0/4,didn't get any help from mid/jungle but I just farmed and came back eventually cause riven OP.

How do you guys set up your rune pages? I bought a bunch of new ones and what I have now are extremely basic and I have no clue what to do set them as to be as efficient as possible.

I see some fix for Galio in the patch change and it brings me back to what I thought yesterday evening: What the fuck happened to him ?
I remember his Q and E got nerfed (although he wasn't dealing a massive amount of dmg imo) and then he went from fotm to not played anymore. Even Alex Ich who used to rape anyone mid lane and in team fight with M5 AoE comp stopped playing him...
He still has some utility and decent damage, doesn't he ? Athene's can work great on him and I think he could be used top lane against popular AP picks in double AP comps (rumble, vlad, even Jax...).

I still don't think Soraka was first-pick status when roaming was still viable by virtue of powerful roamers and 1v2 laners (pre-nerf Ali and Cho'gath). She hems you into picking safe lanes and a defensive jungler because she has no counter-roaming ability and can only really just try to help win bot harder. Remember this is back when the most common APs to pick weren't the hard-to-gank ones (many of them like Ahri hadn't come out yet, and Morgana hadn't been buffed yet) but stuff like Annie and Orianna who have no easy outs and can really get their tempo screwed up badly by a powerful roamer at early levels.
Soraka lanes could beat any 2v2 bottom, but the answer then was just to simply not play a 2v2 bottom, and with the picks in the pool at the time, you could actually do that.

Well, that depends on which roles you want to play. Usually I would build some basic pages for all roles and then some specialized pages depending on my favorites.

Not really. Only with old us meta where tank went bot. The reason everyone swapped because having a tank who can 1v2 top and ad support bot basically was perfect against the roaming and whatever you lose from top side jungle being fucked with you can just invade their jungle. It happened to be the eu meta back then but I'm not sure if that's a coincidence or not, but it's still the same today. It's more moderized now with the whole lane swapping thing. In fact didn't numbers start playing soraka with ad bot and just bought all wards to counter the roaming and went bot in TL A?
Roaming didn't really get nerfed at all, it was just never really all it was cut out to be if you expected it. It's strength now comes mostly from surprise factor when you show up with 2 man top with the support going into your jungle with the other jungler.
There were still plenty of hard to gank mids like vlad and anivia and karthus. The problem with roaming is simply because if you dont' do lots of damage early you fall too far behind in xp and you can't always go back to duo laning because you get dominated.

The court case numbers were 250k>. Seriously, 250.000 accounts with shit attitude, no wonder this game is known for it's piss poor community (in general, I think the TL crowd is damn fine compared to r/lol or god forbid the forums).
Ugh and I get so annoyed that I don't get to put marks on other people in those games. There was one guy who didn't even make that much of a fuss (the general noobs easy, don't feed retards, still punish worthy), and in the same game was his ally spamming stuff like 'Your mom suck my dick'. I would love for Riot to be even stricter with bans. I mean, you get a second chance, but if you screw that up, it's permaban for you. And if you screw up a second account, IP ban.

Being perma banned because you insulted someone is ridiculous. People can get mad, that's part of humanity, and they still pay for the game and the content.

What's the deal with AP Rengar? I missed the one game two weeks ago were he was considered some kind of 'secret tech', and now I see Najin Sword running him succesfully again on top lane - and I just don't get it... only his W has an AP scaling and a pretty decent cooldown. Please help!

His W can be used twice in succession if he is at 5 fury when using the first one. He has an incredibly good slow and gap closer, so he can jump on someone, E, DFG them, then WW for huge damage.

Well, if his double W burst justifies building him AP there is probably something wrong with his design / numbers, right? As I said, I seem to be pretty late to the party, that's why I'm asking.
