The one on Lolpro? Yeah, it's pretty bad. Boots3 -> HoG -> Philo -> Kage -> Merc -> Zhonya/DFG/DC is complete batshit, I don't know what's up with that.

Lol, no they still happen all the darn time. I keep getting people who end up resetting the buffs on me, so this route let me avoid all that drama.

actually any time the jungle camp resets, it's 100% the jungler's fault. That's because there is a foolproof way to prevent resets from happening, and if the jungler isn't using this to his advantage then it's his fault when the buff resets.

All you have to do is stand between the buff and it's original spawn location. If you're in the bush at blue, and you're in front of the golem while auto attacking it, it's possible it could reset. However if you're standing behind the golem (between the golem and it's spawn point) it will never reset.

Wrong. Mid lane can over pull the buff and have it reset.

If the mid pulls it to the point where it would reset and the jungler is still within the leash range and attacking it, it won't reset. Maybe there's another cause that i've never encountered in all the games i've played, but i've been using the method i've described above for as long as I can remember and i've never had a reset happen.

The resets I've seen lately are when the small lizards run into the bush ahead of the golem and then it tries to circumnavigate them in an awkward way. It doesn't happen often, but it's pretty annoying when it does.

It really isn't as I've done just that following blue into brush and still it resets even after the buff aggro update. Bad mids make bad leashes.

Is there such a thing as a bad leash? they just need to autoattack once and walk away...

the person doing msot of the damage upon leash should be your top lane or botlane, respectively. or that's i usually have it done.....

Nearly every time that blue resets on me, it happens on blue side. The top laner doesn't help with the pull, and my mid laner compensates by trying to give me a heavy pull instead of a quick shot over the wall. If the mid-laner lingers too long and ends up dragging the golem (in melee range) too far around the corner in the brush, the buff will reset if you try to follow it into the brush.

Usually if the person just leaves sooner or if they leave the way a top-laner would leave or if they just don't pull it so far into the brush, it usually works just fine. I haven't played enough jungle in the last month or two to really narrow down when it happens. I'm sure I'm not doing something to properly mitigate the problem, but I can be 100% certain that I'm not on the "bad" side of the buff when it resets. I'm always between the buff mob and its spawn point.

What are your guys opinions on GP10 seals/quints?

I'm considering investing in them for support, but I don't really know much about them. Only time I've actually seen them used is when General OddOne played Nunu with gp5 items+runes. Also, what quints would be better for Janna - MS (which I already have) or GP10, and what glyphs are best? I run some mana/scaling MR right now.

I love GP10 quints any time where I don't wanna play a super aggresive support (except Leona where all I do is sword leap all day regardless of MS). My blues are generally MR, but I bet even more GP10 would be awesome. More money = more wards = better support and game overall.

Lol I would get MS quints for jungling/ alistar/blitz support but I don't wanna spend 2k for a quint

For events only, but you have to be careful and make sure they aren't less powerful than normal runes. One of my MS is from the last Winter Sale.

From what i understand, leashes work better if you are not in the brush. If the golem loses sight on you even for a split second, it resets. Then again, i only have anecdotal evidence towards that and haven't scientifically tested it.

In my last 40 or so jungle games between 1000 and 1200 elo I've never seen a bad pull once. The only way I can think of to fuck it up is if your puller is melee or gets into melee range of the buff in which case it can glitch sometimes. But that literally never happens any more since the laners wisened up I think.

Now, if only they learnt not to get caught by the opposing team's invade..

i've also noticed that the leash tends to fuck up when you do it more than once. I hate seeing ppl releash it and having it weird out and reset.

All this talk about leashing, I just want to clarify how its done. I simply just cast an ability over the tree's to get the blue buff's attention, then run back to mid. Is that enough of a leash, or am I supposed to mess the AI for a bit somehow?

That's pretty much it,in fact if you auto attack to much the blue freaks out and runs to far and than tends to reset when it almost turns the corner. One spell+ auto is more than enough you can do as a mid lane.

That's a basic enough leash, your jungler should be fine from there. If you really want to help a lot (which we junglers appreciate), you can get a couple more attacks on it for more damage, or you can run back and forth behind the "curve" of the Blue/Red spawn, which messes with the pathing, forcing it to dance in place for free damage. I'll try to find a video for you, learning to do a hard leash as mid makes the jungle's job much, much easier, especially since it allows us to skip the first smite and go straight Blue-Red or Red-Blue

That works for a normal leash. Hard leashes throw in an auto or two. There's also a way to fuck with the AI by changing it's pathing to you over and over, but not fast enough to cancel the leash.

the usual solo queue mid laner is in my experience pretty worried about missing a creep in mid and thus doesnt stay long enough to mess something up.
i dont know why people have problems with getting a good pull. When they started to get 100k+ people watching streams and saintvicious having 20k people watching at all times, the quality of my leashes went up considerably.

Yea don't do that,as I said if the way it tends to happen with a reset is if it runs to far and than freaks out because your autoing it too much, you are not responsible for the damage on a hard leash,it's the mid and top lane that need to help in that aspect you just need to pull it that's all.

Is that really what makes it bug? I've had it bug out from just a spell before, I think something in the AI is just wonky as fuck.

Ne, shit's weird.

@Razith, just hit it with a spell. Most junglers aren't expecting any more than that, so don't worry about it.

there's a window of time at which the leash is broken and it reaggros to the jungler. If you fuck around with it in that time period, you can have it reaggro back to you, and not the jungler, making some janky shit happen with the buff. the rule of thumb for me is to not attack it in any way from once it's about to hit the brush until after it has reaggroed to the jungler. Literally every time i've leashed it a second time before it aggroing to the jungler, it has fucked up in some way.

edit: in my experience, autoing it a couple of times from when it starts walking to abt when it hits the brush is perfectly fine
