I’m not even sure how they’re getting the “all time” stats considering the overview numbers don’t match up to anything. For example, under overview it says Udyr is my most played with 10 games at a 40% winrate. Under the champions tab, it says I haven’t played Udyr in the past month (which is correct) but when I change it to track for all time it says Udyr is my most played with 11 games at 45% winrate. O_O Checking LoLking shows Udyr as my third most played with 63 games and 57% winrate, which matches up with the game client and sounds about right. I already sent them a support email yesterday, but...no response yet. | ||

What I've been doing so far is: R>Q>E>W, 1 in E at 2. 21/9/0 MPen/AR/MR/AP Ignite/Flash Boots -> Sorcs -> Guise -> Abyssal, Deathcap, Hourglass, Rylai's, Void Staff Basically I don't care about the always recommended slow (Rylai's, Cutlass, Gunblade) to keep people in my ult. Rylai's is usually the last item I'd get. Instead I aim for maximizing my EQ burst, wait until my enemies took some damage and start hopping around on their corpses. I intend to use R mostly for harrass, not so much for killing. Now here's the thing: Hopping around works better if you hop harder and faster. Q gets 35 damage and a bounce per level, cooldown goes down by 0.5 (from 9 to 7). E gets 40 damage per level, cooldown goes from 10 to 6 in steps of 1. W passively buffs Q and R with 8 to 24 damage per hit, cooldown from 20 to 12, damage reduction on E from 15% to 35%. All of this is so good. Normally people max Q for harrass by bouncing off a minion onto a champion (10% reduced damage per hit). But E hits harder. And against the current midlaners I feel the harrass through bouncing doesn't work all that great (long range, quick waveclearing). Then again Q is your only farming aid (not that it's good, you need loads of AP to oneshot minions). And then there's W. 35% reduced damage is nuts, actually. That's half an Alistar ult and pretty much the same as Garen's Courage. But the damage increase is rather small (+4 on Q and up to +40 on R if you hit all 10 daggers). I definitely think I should be more flexible with my skills though. Like if I can't harrass well with Q I think I should switch to maxing E. Maybe 3 levels in Q then E... About my items: I tried Gunblade, I tried WotA (someone said there was someone who does it, but gosh I can't stand it, so weak). I think straight AP/MPen is the best I can do. Flat MPen works nicely because I usually hop for the damage dealers who rarely get enough MR to make Void Staff stronger than Flat MPen items. TL;DR: Rambling about my Kat build, trying to inspire some discussion so that I can identify possible optimizations. Also what to do with the Kat champ thread? Bump? | ||

Slot-efficiency. Different rune types are more efficient at providing certain stats (e.g MPen reds are more efficient than yellow or blue, AP blues are more efficient than red or yellow, etc.). So when you have a bunch of stats that contribute to a similar goal (in your case AP-based magic damage), it's more efficient to get the most slot-efficient runes for each rune type, rather than just blindly stacking the one stat regardless of efficiency. In your example, the higher efficiency of MPen reds compared to AP/level means that using MPen reds instead of AP/level should translate into higher damage at all stages of the game. | ||

Also, has anyone noticed a bug where right before an enemy shows up on your minimap, you'll see them for a split second somewhere else on your minimap? It's hard to explain. Just started happening to me and my friend this patch. | ||

Just started happening to me and my friend this patch. Yeah I've had that for a while, see enemy jungler at wraiths, I'm like he's at wraiths all of sudden he's top in less than 1second. Always see them at wraiths when it happens, well sometimes at wolves too. | ||
