The new oracle change sounds retarded, 150 gold/2mins? By the time you recall and buy it and go to the area you want to clear wards half of it will be gone.

You probably shouldn't activate it before you are at a spot you need it. Late game when you have 6 items or 5 + wards it's retarded tho.

The problem with early oracle in team games is everyone plays like a fucking pussy for the most part. You can give up a double kill for killing an oracle carrier and come out almost completely even (depending on assist gold), but teams would rather just let the ward die and run away.
I'm going to agree with the fake patch notes. What's the difference between snowballing from buying a dorans and snowballing from buying an oracle?

Hence the reason i said that, if they get the oracles after they've already gotten a gank. That's how it snowballs. They had an advantage from netting a positive kill, and then used that to start taking over map real estate forcing the opposing team to play from a worse position. Is it risky? Of course. But that sort of argument can be made for, well, almost anything you do in LoL. Virtually nothing is completely safe and it is up to the opponents to decide how to try and take advantage of their opponents.
Just straight up buying an oracles at the cost of your normal jungle items w/o getting a kill is of course super risky, but that's not what I'm talking about.
To be clear: I don't love the change (if it's real). I think there are changes that should be done to wards and whatnot, but this isn't the route I would have taken at all. However, I'm willing to see how it plays out since I certainly don't see it as an inherently bad change. Even if you take away the idea of an early oracles, similar logic can be applied to later game: if a team is behind and loses one or cant afford an oracles it is a huge blow if their opponent has one active. Being behind and forcing you to stay further behind makes it less likely that a comeback is possible; thus a more boring game experience for players and spectators.
LoL tournament should be starting in a bit at DH, it's there just started later than some of the others.

There have been some LoL events on the TL Calendar (OGN, IPL, GESL, MLG, IEM), just not as many as Dota 2. Some TL staff play Dota 2 so it's relatively easy for them to add in a Dota 2 event.
For LoL, it's just a matter of tournament organizers submitting their event to TL since it's the organizers' job to promote the events. But not every tournament think it's necessary to submit it to TL since it's primarily a SC site.

Just had an idea for a nice ultimate, probably for a support-type champ. It would give all the champs on your team a one-use shield which negates the next instance of taking damage from any source and returns a proportion of the damage(scaling with AP maybe) which would have been received back to the source it originated from. Would likely have to have a reduction on mirrored damage for AOE spells.

Fun DotA hero ults that could be ported in some form to LoL: - Admiral's Ghost Ship (would have to figure out a not-so-awful targeting scheme, because Ghost Ship sucks to aim properly) - Tauren Chieftain's Earth Splitter - Wisp/KotL (support heroes with global teleports to teleport allies to/with them) - Tuskarr (WALRUS PUNCH!) - Storm Spirit's Ball Lightning - Ember Spirit's Fire Remnant - Enigma's Black Hole - Ancient Apparition's Ice Blast (probably would also need a better targeting mechanic, though less so than Ghost Ship does)
Most of the other ones are either already in the game, or have some issues that make them incompatible with LoL's gameplay.

so it came to me in a dream last night but i thought of a way they could improve taric
1. give him back some of his AP ratios 2. change his stun back. it's not counter-intuitive, it was a cool mechanic trading damage for stun time 3. make his ult a small AOE heal-over-time and give it back the draining mana. additionally make it so any champs that are attacking taric or facing taric have reduced hit accuracy (like, 15% miss chance). this creates a nice juxtaposition between "FOCUS ME I'M HEALING THE WHOLE TEAM" and "LOL YOU CAN'T HIT ME" and would add some strategic depth to his positioning in teamfights (namely, near his carry) AND would also match the name of the ult, radiance, better.
i don't really think anything's wrong with taric i just kinda miss the old gay. i mean guy. i liked his old ult and his new ult is just lame and cookie cutter

Making oracles a 2min/7min/team thing removes a counter to all types of warding including teemo mushrooms. In addition, it makes twitch into an invincible moving ward for 5 minutes of every 7.

And if the support got a lot of AP, then they wouldn't have any of those strong team helping items. But riot doesn't seem to like shoehorning supports into having to support so they leave skills that scale weakly into late game without AP.

It's called "Radiance". The concept is "big shiny light in everyone's face". It makes TOTAL sense for it to be a facing-conditional blind. And it would add a lot of interesting and unique gameplay to an otherwise boring ability.

I've been playing Darkspore every now and then, and I find that some of the ideas there could really be put into LoL and look good: -shield you can put onto allies that does damage to people who attack them -make an area that heals allies standing in it -passive that can give your attacks random effects (deal dot, mini-stun, slow, etc) -aoe centered around caster dealing poison (dot) to all enemies effected) -long-range skillshot that accelerates and deals more damage the faster it is

It does seem there must be more to the story, though. It seems a pretty trivial breach to warrant firing someone who has been employed there for some time.
