He does.
So he will push you out of lane eventually, since you don't sustain enough anymore.

I've always loved playing Malphite even before the buffs he recently received. Those were just icing on the cake. :D

Nobody plays him because there are other hyper-scaling top laners who don't have the same problems as him. That said, if you want someone hard-scaling with an AS debuff (malphite has great AS debuff, but mediocre scaling) - Nasus is pretty choice. The wriggles nerf hurt him too though, and there's more top laners now that he just can't go up against (he already was a top laner you had to pick into a matchup that he can turn into one he farms at turret)

Tbh, there are some champs that can just weather Malph's harass in lane and outscale him. But even tho Malph falls off a bit damage-wise, his utility is simply retarded. He really should've been much more popular even before xHazzard.

A few months ago you g uys could have given my essays on why malphite and shen are no longer viable because of the big bad op tanky dps and now they're both ban status. (Albeit the shen buff was crazy and everyone knew it was, except riot, because of the same mentality of --> nobody plays him, let's list all the weaknesses exaggerate them and consider them all important issues to "fix". Remember when udyr wasn't viable because he didn't have a gap closer. Then he started getting played, and then got a few slight nerfs, and now he's going to be not viable in a month for the same reason. Morgana? Back when only locicero played her it was like, oh she sucks, relies on hitting her Q too much. Riot gives all these slight buffs mostly to give incentive to try the champ again I feel like. Most champs who get slight buffs often turn out to be "OP".

Most champs who get slight buffs often turn out to be "OP". Whens the last time you actually played nasus? I was just given a Riot Nasus skin, spend like three days trying to play Nasus effectively in normals. It feels aweful, you get pushed around in lane by literally everybody. Once I get out of lane I just kind of run at people without any movement steroids and hope I catch them, which still feels aweful. He's a super late scaling champion, but he isn't one that can carry a game if his whole entire team got crushed in lane because chances are he lost his lane anyway. What reason is there to play a Nasus over a champion like Jax? Jax is like 100x stronger in lane and scales just if not harder than nasus. Jax reliably can jump on squishies, has huuuuge burst, huuuge defensive steroids (Yaya press R get two free chainvests and two free Negatrons!) as well as AoE hard CC. Are you telling me you'd pick Nasus over a Champ like Jax?

Nasus has a tank steriod that lasts a lot longer and still good, a long ranged huge attack speed and movement speed slow, and can go full tank and do pretty good damage. In fact nasus is pretty good against jax in a teamfight because you just slow him and he has trouble going in and doing damage. You don't need to run at people with nasus because in a teamfight you have teamfights to force people to walk past you for you and all you need to do is work with them, and if it's 1v1 then you have the best slow in the game why worry about being kited. Nasus isn't even that amazing lategame, because he has no gapcloser/initiate and that's what kills AD carries who dominate late game, I'd say nasus is a good early mid to midgame to late midgame in terms of power peak. The main problem is getting camped/tower dived which can happen to anybody but if you already have to let people push the lane against you it makes you more vulnerable to it. Nasus' lane matchups usually aren't that bad since it's mostly about just farming as many creeps as possible and even if you can fight the other guy it's still a bad move because you want q stacks. Not that many champs can harass nasus hard enough at or close to tower to really deny his cs. (without jungler coming to dive)

you are right the problem is, all of his tools are done as well by someone who isn't as bad in lane, and also he has to be vs. someone who dosen't scale as hard becasue he won't be denying them even if he does get to farm to his hearts content. That said the amount of damage a well farmed q can do while being built full tank, in combonation with wither and his ult makes him one of the best tanks in any teamfight, he cannot be ignored, and he can't be killed quickly without ignite.

i don't think nasus is bad he just requires a little more friendly jungle attention in case he's getting camped or pushed around. and rarely will you see someone in solo queue understand that and camp your lane for you. and even if they do, you'll have the 13yo on your team screaming at both of you because "OMG ENEMY GANK 7 TIMES YOU NO GANK GG NOOB" so it's not even worth it. nasus with a really resist-y build can play really defensively in lane and do alright against bullies, and nasus with an offensive runeset can trade just fine with his good matchups. he just happens to be really vanilla what i'm looking forward to is after malphite-type champions really catch on, stuff like amumu and maokai top - champs that don't get affected by malph's E and have similar amounts of tankiness/cc/damage as malph. it's gonna make jungling a lot more fun :3
