I'm not following, if your internet is consistently unstable, I'm pretty sure the system already uses "leaver buster" to figure that out. There is a point/percentage of games that is too much, and it's already set in place. Realize that internet is often out of your control, there are also computer problems that can occur, and problems on Riots side. Also, I have left 1-2 games before for important matters that have come up, don't put it out of the realm of possibility. | ||

Yeah, that's a good point, I completely forgot about the leaver buster thing just because I never hear about it. Either that's a good thing because it means that that system is silently working perfectly or that's bad because it means that leaverbuster isn't doing anything at all! Leaving games because of important matters is perfectly acceptable, but it ruins the game for everyone else regardless of how good your excuse is-- you'd have to balance the ingame deterrent vs the very important thing you have to do and decide which is more important. Hopefully it'd be a pretty easy decision. Riot can (and has) detected issues on their side and hit 'the button' to kind of shut ranked play down. They could easily make the deterrent system work in a similar fashion. And a dota2-style leaver queue thing wouldn't work in ranked as far as I can tell because keeping your elo accurate in ranked depends on the assumption that every player is playing with the same pool of players around their skill level. | ||

Lyte also mentioned that putting toxic players with toxic players is actually really bad cause it causes a ton more toxicity, he went into depth on a few posts about how that's not their goal. So I don't see it happening I can see myself getting DCD or something happening, getting put in leaver que, then just dreading ever dcing ever again, to the point where I might not want to play, If the leaver buster system works(I am assuming it does, I don't know the numbers but I know that ranked games for me dont have many rage quits/leavers, I remember back when I first started LoL pre-ranked games and there were a TON of leavers etc, even in start of season 1, so its really improved in my eyes), I don't see why we need more precautions. You guys are noticing the games where it happens, or maybe for some reason variance is playing a mean trick on you. The vast majority of ranked games Ive played have not had leavers, and dcers usually come back fairly quickly(within a minute, and the time of DC makes a big difference if it had an impact or not, Ive had several games 4v5 where someone DC and we were ahead and they concede before they realize it, but Ive had several lvl 1s not connect and they are so far behind when they get back and totally ruined the game). | ||
