The only fixes Viktor needed on release were the few bug fixes (laser width, etc.) and the fix for his ult and w to stay after his death. Since then he's received several damage buffs and he's terrifying.

He'd be my #1 played champ if I wasn't completely terrible at AP mages. My only wish is that he had a bit more mobility, but that would probably be too much.
Now you guys made me want to play him some. Is the Viktor thread up to date and usable? 2-3 DRings into Death-Sorc-Wota-Hat?

I really despise Viktor's W and Veigar's E. Long Range AoE stuns on low CD are insanely powerful =\.

Viktor is the most bland and boring hero that I have ever played and that riot ever made.I want the 24 minutes of my life back that I spent on playing him lol.I don't care if he becomes op I wouldn't touch him with a 10 m pole.

Viktor thread not completely up to date, I've been really busy lately, but will update it soon.
I'm still using that same build though. Or rylai before dcap. I want to try some dcap before wota in the near future.

If the opposing champion relies on landing all spells in a combo to harass (like Cassio) Fizz rapes them. If the opposing champion relies on projectiles with a cooldown long enough to be comparable to Playful/Trickster then Fizz rapes them. Fizz gets raped by everything else because he's melee with no sustain and Playful/Trickster, while amazing, is very mana-inefficient especially when you take into consideration his low base mana pool.

Rylai's is really good on him. The ult becomes like a singed glue you can move around during team fights. You want to use the ult early in the team fight with the rylai's to get the most utility out of it. Makes your slow/stun field even stronger. Just synergizes with his whole kit imo.

The way his laser works is actually one of the more interesting things that riot has put out in their newer champs. His passive is interesting too, although they could have made it work in a more pleasing way.

I don't see many viktors around, but every time I do he completely destroys.
I've been meaning to learn AP mid a bit more, maybe he'd be a good first character to focus on.

No it doesn't. Singed goo is a fucking 75% slow, Rylai's on an AoE skill is a 15% slow, lol.

I hate a fed/farmed viktor, the Lazer itself doesn't look like it does that much damage, but barely getting pricked by the tip of it chunks your health, and all you can think is "wtf, that lazer just chunked a third of my health"

I think T_D said earlier that his first incarnation wasn't bad, just people didn't know hwo to play him.
While I agree with that somewhat, I would agree that the Q speed buff was very much needed (and probably the only thing he needed). The whole point of the shield was negated by the fact that any trading was done before your shield even got back to you, effectively making it useless in burst trading, which is all Vik can really do.

Don't start with learning Viktor. He has some nuances that can really only be figured out through playing, but he's tough to be successful with. I'd start with something like Morg or Kennen- pretty hard to lose lane, press R to win.
So when I play fizz, I normally go 2dring, sheen, dcap. I've tried wota, but didn't find it very good on him. Have people been successful with any sustain on him?
