How do you guys with a jungler camping your lane (I mostly play top) and your team's not capable of accomplishing anything with the 4v3? I've been trying to tell my teammates about the situation, how I can't do anything about it and how it's a great opportunity to take map control and objectives, but more often than not, my team won't do all that much after all. Any ideas, I feel sort of helpless in those situations. Almost seems like ignoring everybody for bitching and just straight up trying to not to feed is the best solution.

Does anyone else feel that the way a champion looks prompts people to react very differently, even if their kit isn't that different?
For example, if I play Tristana, people dive on me or go far out of their way to kill me. This is obviously normal as a carry, but for one who essentially has 3 escapes (flash, w and R), it often feels like this small creature with a big gun is drawing even more attention than needed. In contrast, as Corki, people are far more cautious when trying to dive me - slightly intimidated by the bomber with a machinegun.
Whenever I play Maokai, as I W in, people can't resist focusing on me in team fights. I think it's just the psychological effect of a massive teleporting tree turning up.
Anyone?

Twitch and Teemo have "global taunt", a hidden passive that forces everybody to dive them the instant they see 'em.

I'd rather say people hesitate to dive Corki because Valkyrie is such a good escape, and he's more dangerous at close range with that gatling.

I'm not sure the team has to do much to take advantage of it as long as you're aware of the position of the enemy jungler and you don't die. It allows dragon, and it means their jungler is wasting time trying to gank your lane and not farming. If you don't feed, even if you fall behind your opponent top a bit by playing defensively, your team should come out ahead overall even if they don't go to extreme lengths to make plays.
Obviously you can do stuff like ping dragon and point out that their jungler is top too.

They have some really talented players, but I question their teamwork when paired vs the likes of M5, clg.eu and aAa. Definately still a team you don't troll around with.
This particular game, Aranea made some bad decisions on invading that could have costed first blood if Darien decided to push the issue.
ok either I'm having the biggest déjà vu of my life or this is a rebroadcast. Hmm. I just looked into the LoL calendar I snatched from reddit and saw this was on.

How's Na'Vi.LoL? They've been a team for a while, not too long though. I don't really know anyone besides both their mid laner and jungler. They have been in multiple teams like Acer and MYM and are fairly accomplished in the EU scene.

How did Alex Ich not die there?

Holy shit Orianna's aa hit like a truck when she's got enough AP... one doran, rabaddon, rylai and I was already sitting at +114 magic damage. Hit somebody thrice and you're doing 265 damage (mixed magical and physical) per auto-attack. Pretty sure I'd have beaten some people on the enemy team (Gragas, Jarvan) just by using AAs and shield.

I just played with jax against a team of autoattackers. It was hilarious.

Don't die and win later cause enemy jungler didn't get anything from camping top and lost a lot of farm. Also he probably made his top lose a lot of exp (though let him get nice amount of gold so you probably aren't ahead). If the enemy jungler is one of the strong and fast gankers you may want to invest in 2 wards and set one of them in a tribush and the second one way further in the river (especially vs nocturne).
Relying on your team is a big big big big mistake in solo queue

hi
the last few days i've been playing a little bit lol and i really like it, but i have no previous experience with this type of game. is there someone like day9, who does videoguides for lol? i found some pages with hero build guides etc, but no videos explaining the basics. i watched a few streams, but no one talks about the basics as far as i can tell. i know a little bit about lanes, last-hitting, hero builds and basic strategy, but not enough to undestand everything going on in a 5vs5. any tipps?

Yeah I theorycrafted this a while ago, and I worked out that with 200AP, you'd do 790 dmg with just 4 auto attacks. With the right set-up, I reckon that bruiser Orianna might be a semi-legit way to go (defensive runes with AP quints, offensive masteries, ROA and Zhonya's into tanky items, just off the top of my head).

play her teemo style, ap attack speed items ;D

Still getting this problem. It's definitely not the normal version check that takes a few seconds cause it DLs about 100mb every time.
Edit: Just remembered there's a thread for this >.>

As far as I know there is no Day9 like resource. LoL isn't too mechanically challenging, but there are a lot of intricacies to learn for every champ, position, and match-up. I think your best bet would be to read a few guides (solomid.net and lolpro.com have some good ones) and then just go from there. If you think about it, ladder play doesn't even start until you hit level 30, which is a couple of hundred games. Imo just worry about playing for now, and the rest will come.
If you lose a bunch of games it's no big deal, just ignore the people who are assholes. Also, read through the champ threads on TL and this thread to help give you an idea of what goes on.
Edit: I think that solomid and maybe lolpro have 'general game guides' as well. One of the biggest hurdles will be getting to learn all of the acronyms (stuff like: ap = ability power, ad = attack damage, ms = move speed, ect.). There should be some sort of list out there with all of the common ones.
