As for supports, I've been wondering with a shielding champ. Something along the lines of: - can only shield either one of physical or magic damage at once - whenever the shield's active, all regen, heals, etc. go toward the shield's HP. Soraka won't save you if the shield's set on magic damage when Tryndamere jumps at you - you can get a nuke scaling on how much damage you've absorbed since the last cast/the shield went online, or whose damage type depends on which shield is on at the moment - you can put the shield on an ally The basic idea (only shield one type of damage at a time) looked great, but then even if you only picked some of the ideas put above, it can quickly become overly complicated, or hard to balance, and in the end totally miss the concept. I'd still like a champ designed around shields more than just having a spell grant one. ![]()

Because yeah, I agree with that. Granted, it's not likely that you'll be stuck at an ELO, but a significant portion of players will tend to be stuck at an ELO lower than what they should be. Does that mean that for them they may be in some sorta hell regarding their elo? An elo hell if you will?

Elo just states how much you won compared to how much you lost. That's it. So people with a high elo are winners. People with a low elo are losers. You may think someone with a high elo is a bad player, but he's still a winner. You may think you're a good player with low elo, but you're still a loser.

Does that mean that for them they may be in some sorta hell regarding their elo? An elo hell if you will? It's more like Probability's Purgatory. It's Probability's waiting room before he calls you in to the higher ELO waiting room. Where you do penance until you're skilled enough to move on to the next waiting room.

I mean, in fairness, 400 Elo fluctuations actually do happen due to factors that don't involve "skill". Again, remember the discussion of Damionwings being a 1600 Elo player that jumped to 2k after the Annie buff because he literally only knows how to play Annie?

Those don't happen. I can't think of a single case of either of these unless it's an obvious case of someone letting others use their account.

Comil, NA ladder... u can pick which case he is... i'll give you a hint, he is neither, he is a 1300 elo caliber player who spiked up to 2100. So yes... they do happen.

That exists only if you played a small amount of games and if you get to 2.1k elo just by getting carried than its equivalent to you winning the lottery. Elo hell does not exist,if you are better than the people you play against eventually you will rise no matter what sooner or later.
