AD runes and masteries, especailly with heavy attack speed, combined with the scaling damage on W and a wriggles makes a massive difference. I would see AP kennen as a safe pick with no real counters but doesn't counter anyone, while AD kennen is a lane dominator and pusher who falls off later.
Look at it this way, I don't think anyone prefers AD kennen over AP kennen, there has to be a reason they're using him, right?

Really? AP Kennen basically just autos you if you are in range, QW for stun if you get close(you will usually have a mark), more autos, E away, more autos, Q again, etc.
I've played WW vs Kennen with 50 more movespeed than him and didn't land a single Q without using ulti for like 5 minutes, I really wonder what an Olaf could do.
Especially as AP kennen doesn't need to "destroy" olaf(20 minion ahead yippee) because he's infinitely more valuable late. 20 minion ahead AD kennen <<<<<<<<< even minion AP kennen
I also disagree with AD kennen killing towers faster. I'd say that it's about the same speed, or AP Kennen kills them faster. AD Kennen had no additional aspd until far later, after all.

This is derailing the thread, so I won't continue, maybe take it into the kennen thread later.
At the very least you guys should respect the players strategy who play AD kennen top to win lane like even some people like soAZ have done it, instead of just saying "nah your top laner is bad, cause it CLG won the game in the end"

The fact that CLG swapped out their only good initiator for janna but has the same comp is a little worrisome

Saint didnt non stop farm because he backed a lot for items and also had a red start and made sure he was at blue in time, so he lost quite a bit out of the theoretical maximum CS. He also walked a bit around mid and alistars jungle.

Well I know but you can get 180 minions at 20min pretty easily if you don't gank, especially with udyr. If you get to farm lanes multiple times as well it's not all that strange or special(Not saying he didn't play well but the farming wasn't that strange) .

If Nel manages to survive mid game and don't fall too far behind they could outsustain CLG maybe but idk.

AD Kennen > AP Kennen in lane.
The lane would have been different if kennen was AP. There is a reason why AD Kennen is so FotM in Korea for top lane. MiG ran it too for first match. I'm just a little surprised he max Q first as AD instead of W.
Also, I feel like you guys give too little credit to AD Kennen late, his impact late game is not so far off from AP Kennen.
I liked CLG's picks, except for olaf, but Hotshot has always been playing slightly unconventional tops. Bot lane played spectacular against a comp that could have very easily destroyed them if even slightly misplayed, not to mention XD's jungle presence added into the mix.
