Didn't help that Alistar played a terrible 0 gank 0 farm style, I saw multiple opportunities to gank but he just was too scared, who knows why.
Either way happy that CLG won, but I wonder how well CLG is going to do against the next team if they keep picking teamcomps like this.
I agree. This game was XD throwing, not so much CLG winning. Nice job by HSGG for not becoming dead weight but this shit won't fly against MiG or Xenics.

What? Alistar tried constantly to gank from levels 2-4, but CLG knew it and they played super defensive and saint had levels over him at one stage. Ganking is ultimately a gimmick if you're forced to do it, CLG took advantage of that. Alistar sholdn't have forced ganks like that when CLG were clearing expecting it. Throw them off by power farming level 5-6 and then doing some flash lane ganks or tower dives.
Alistar spent an absurd amount of time camping lanes and woulda been like 5 kills in solo queue.

But did you see how indecisive that Ali was? Sure CLG knew it was coming but Ali kept trying to sneak around and eventually got spotted by Galio's line of sight down at bot. Just man up, gank, fail, and go back to jungling. He wasted an absurd amount of time like you said and ultimately feel crazy behind (it's vs farmvicious but still).

I think I mentioned this, having your AP gank and farming constantly is a great way to become beast mode as udyr. Saints early red start put him a bit behind and not building philo makes little sense with the style he had, but he still was unkillable later. He went under half in a couple fiights and like 15% or so in the last fight but he didn't die because of that extra farm.
Also alistar shouldn't have even tried to gank when he saw how lanes were playing out. Like after the first one at least. "Failing a gank and manning up" still loses like 30 seconds of time, as opposed to 40 seconds of something, he just needed to not gank until he got some farm and ultimate because early alistar ganks are just too obvious. CLG at no points in the early laning phase were open to ganks, and after that saint could just destroy him anywhere he wanted to go.

That was actually only about 10 minions higher than the standard nonstopfarm jungling with 0 ganks, he could freefarm mid twice so that helped him get the extra 10 minions.

The alistar =S wasted alot of time in ganks.. reminds me The Odd One spending like literally.. a minute with his ganks at mid/bot; btw hotshotgg did okay for what it's worth, but definitely didn't see that it was AD kennen from start maybe?
AD Kennen. Why? Even after winning his lane he was a nonfactor. Leona counterpicked by Galio/Cait - never got a chance to land anything in laning phase. Alistar didn't/couldn't top and bot were pushed to tower but after 6 he should be forcing stuff with his ult Morg couldn't land binds ever.

He farmed top too when HS had to recall due to kennen poking him. Overall i like that they seemed to play really seriously.

Yep he should have just came, ran in, and ganked instead of waiting around for the perfect opportunity for ages. There really were multiple opportunities to gank even in the lanes he actually went to if he just kept walking instead of sitting around waiting for the eclipse of the moon
