It is indirect + pushes the lane to do so, though...
But yeah as the poster below noted - being a good support isn't just about heal, or even just botlane strength - a good support is still useful to the team with 0 farm. That's not really true of Shen.

That isn´t the criterium for supports. Otherwise Nidalee would be one. It´s about being a contribution at 0cs and doulane XP with "supportitems" (basically anything with Gold and/or Auras).

Without itemization, his Vorpal healing is in about the same place where it always was so in terms of early laning healing power he's in the same place. It's just that the heal scales significantly now with itemization.

am i the only one getting 2-3 dcs every time que pops?

Oh watching TOO's first impression game of Nautilus. http://www.own3d.tv/SoloMid#/watch/458393 He is slow as balls, but he can get around faster by hooking to terrain and won't go oom at later lvls or when he has bluff buff earlier lvls, although TOO didn't do that. His clear time doesn't seem too bad even when building philo and Hog. His ganks are pretty good too with a low cd ultimate can't miss knockup.

In the west we have a joke that the French surrender at the first sign of war since they haven't won any major wars since Napoleon's time. I think the idea centers mainly on the surrender of the French to Germany in World War 2. Some French Historian will now tell me about all the antiterrorist wars that France has won and about the guerilla warfare that took place in WW2 France. Not sure why cookies thinks you guys say that joke a lot.
Almost missed to reply to this one:

Must read text for anyone who plays on the EUW server. This piece ("The complete military history of france") is around since like 10 years, you're really missing some awesome part of interwebs history if you don't know it.
The question for any country silly enough to count on the French should not be "Can we count on the French?", but rather "How long until France collapses?"
"Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion. All you do is leave behind a lot of noisy baggage."
On the bright side I must admit that I'm almost always playing well when I'm with frenchies on vent because their accents make me happy. And some of them are so incredibly annoying if you lose that you just have to win. Somehow. Even if they're french. <3 Nenyimm.

I'm not denying that, but to imply that support Shen is more playable now than he was before isn't really correct, as a large portion of the real benefits to his kit come from the perspective of improving his damage output.
If anything, support Shen is worse than he was last patch overall. You need 1400+ HP to even break even with the old Vorpal heal values, Shadow Dash's taunt duration at max rank went down, and support Shen isn't going to be able to take great advantage of the improved damage/attack speed synergy of the new Ki Strike (and hence will have more awkward energy management because his baseline energy costs went up). A large portion of the improvement comes in the form of better damage output/damage scaling--things that are not huge priorities for a support.

it looks like depth charge get sent out the way you are facing than turns. that is so weird.

CLGeu threw the game by Trying to end it (they managed to get both towers and the hp of the nexus to 80%) and then got ace by gallio ulti.
They also lost the last fight because Froggen screwed up with his ulti and let Doublift get a pentakill essentially.

Anyone elses queues all screwed up? My tuimers busted and I can't select "Play Now!" or "Finish What I'm Doing..." like normally. Then the screen is all black once I get to pregame lobby.
I assume it isn't just me because erry friggen game is a queue dodge even if you restart lol.

Keeping in mind that I was watching on my iPhone and the screen is tiny:
I started watching about 14 mins into the game, and there was still no first blood. 17 min mark the 2 teams contest dragon but Snoopeh uses Nocturne ult which makes it impossible for bigfatjiji to do any dmg and CLGNA loses the exchange 3 for 0, EU takes dragon. Fastforward about 10 mins and a few members of CLGNA get picked off by themselves, EU is ahead by a lot. Jiji builds giant's belt on Kog and HSGG bitches a bit because he has no dmg (needs Archangels). First baron fight of game, don't really remember too many details but they keep jiji alive and he decimates them, ends up being 4 for 1 exchange in favor of NA. They fight again later at bot after EU catches Doublelift overextended (farming as usual) and push down 2 towers and an inhib plus they dive onto NA (because HSGG is pushing top) and kill all 3 (Chauster, Jiji, Saint). NA then forces baron, EU doesn't contest, but instead push all the way into NA's base and kill 2 Nexus towers and start on the nexus, but NA bases with baron buff, Chauster lands perfect Galio ult and they ace EU. NA pushes down mid, gets inhib and has to retreat. Game stagnates while NA turtles so that their inhib respawns. Final fight of game happens at bot lane; Saint catches Froggen's Kennen by himself (dunno why he was alone) and gets him down to 50%, forcing Kennen to flash over the wall back to his team; Saint follows with his own flash and forces EU to panic engage. Nocturn ultis, and Kennen wastes ulti on just Saint. Saint dies but Chauster catches about 3 (or 4, don't remember) in ulti, Jiji and Doublelift clean up while HSGG jumps on Wickd. NA wins fight 5 for 1 and push down mid for win.

So what do people think about taxing lanes as jungler aside from when your solo has to retreat after the gank? I used to never tax but now I just don't care.
|
You should always do it. Junglers need all the farm and xp they can get and if you've had a good gank you might as well farm the lane as long as you push to tower so it doesn't mess with his lane control.
If you're playing junglers with lots of AoE, which is like shyvana/riven/udyr/skarner/maokai you should just push it asap, very few junglers wouldn't be able to push fast enough to put the other guy ahead in XP.

The problem there was gp didn't shove the lane while saint was so instead of pushing to tower it got blocked near the tower. I twas a miscommunication, nobodies fault.
Actually scratch that, it was one of solo queue "my team doesn't listen to me but I act like they did" scenarios. He SAW saint pushing he shoulda shoved and backed, and got a ward. But freezing the lane wouldn't have been a BAD choice either. In fact it would probably have been better, but not all situations are like that.

Or he reached that elo by just playing GP. Who knows
