Practically speaking, do you expect Hotshot to be able to sync his Feast exactly to the point when Baron drops below 1000 including the animation delay, lag, and possible variations in damage dealt to Baron? Realistically, the difference in damage between Smite and Feast isn't going to be one they're going to reliably be able to make use of.

Nope. It just like smite securing, there is way too much stuff going on.
But, if they do it all the time like they want to there is the same thing. This way it gets them two chances, HSGG's and Saints vs the other junglers. Then there is less random mind games to it, just syncing/reaction time.
Oh wells, semantics. There are ridiculous amount of factors anyway.

Speaking of smite securing..
When's the last time CLG actually got a clean baron smite off?

To be fair, Saint lives on the opposite side of the continent compared to the riot servers. Watch his stream, he always has 300 ping.
I've never seen him fuck one up at a LAN, but when he plays soloqueue he misses it all the time.

Earlier in the game Saint said he has a 100 ping. That's not nearly enough to miss you a smite.

Suppose they always smite together at 800. The other junglers learns to do the same. This gives CLG a 2/3 chance of getting Baron (assuming all 3 smites/smite-likes are equally likely to take Baron).
Suppose that half the time they smite together at 800, and half the time they smite together at 1800. The enemy jungler has to guess whether to smite at 800 or at 1800. 50% of the time they just guess wrong and smite at the completely wrong time, and CLG gets it. Of the 50% when the enemy jungler guesses right, half is when Saint/Hotshot are smiting at 800, and half is when Saint/Hotshot are smiting together at 1800. When they smite at 800, the enemy jungler has a 1/3 chance of getting it, and when they smite at 1800, the enemy jungler has a 1/2 chance of getting it. This means CLG has a 79% chance of getting Baron, as opposed to just the 2/3 chance if they always smited at 800.
A useless theorycrafting exercise, I know, but I thought I should make my point clear.

You know for all the crap people give Saint/HSGG for that play (which WAS a bad play, don't get me wrong), it's not THAT easy to time a smite well vs an enemy jungler that also has Smite up. Particularly in a case where you can't just zone them out of smite range.
Cho obviously makes this easier but there's still a timing issue. I think their cleanest play is to have Saint smite it at 1800-ish and then Hotshot immediately Feast (possibly by counting this down on vent or something). But again, it's not really that easy, much less to coordinate it between two people. It's why I don't like doing Baron when the other team is up and nearby.

Exactly, at best it is a 50/50 thing.
Also, dayum son TF split pushing so stronk.
And, I like how CLG has to argue over everything. I enjoy it.
I don't however enjoy CLG showcasing global ulti split pushing... I don't wanna deal with that garbage in soloqueue qq.

that cassio/soraka bottom lane looks really strong.

What do you guys do if you get invaded at blue and you're the jungler? Do you steal their blue? Take red? Obv. depends on the jungler, but for example let's use Trundle or WW. Usually it'll only be 4 members of my team vs 5 of theirs, they take my blue, I fall behind in levels, get less buffs, etc.

listen to shake talking about smites, he knows his shit. dat noonoo #1

Karthus/Soraka's been good for like forever, with the extra mana to the caster Soraka/Caster is probably somewhere between viable and good now in general imo.

It all depends on composition and opportunity, aways be in a position where you can see them coming in, then obviously see if there is an opportunity for a good fight or pick on them. If you arent going to be able to contest it reasonably then definitely go for their blue immediately. At least thats what I do when I WW.
If you have you support with you at Blue, they should put a ward in the blue bush if they see an invasion coming in, this can allow your team to harass them and potentially pull stuff off like picking one as they leave/fight blue or smite stealing from the other side of the wall or smite and flash out.
You can almost always just take their blue and end up ok though. Just watch out for stealthed Teemo's lurking around.

Hotshot playing Pantheon top because he wants CLG to get good at using global ult split pushing.

Yay Yellow doing stuff! *contentment* I wonder how good he is in League, and if he plays on NA at all.

my worst fear in this game is those pro players playing an aggressive loci/smash style panth up top inevitably causing a nerf in a future patch.

It can't be that difficult, the only thing you need is to trust HSGG to feast at the correct time(And I guess that this might be problematic but)
