My comment was more about the general attitude people have rather than that particular incident. Even the starcraft crowd does that. Being annoyed is one thing, bashing on other games is another. I fail to understand why people behave like that. I'm following both the games myself - ive never played Dota ever, but it looks fun from previews and i will definitely pick it up.

Honestly I think locket fits a bit too well with the standard choices. I mean, what exactly is wrong with just holding onto HoG until lategame on a support anyways? I've had it happen a few times where I got ridiculously fed(as a support) and then finally ended up having to sell the HoG for something else when I had my full 5 item build. By then it's already paid off more than well enough anyways.
Randuin's isn't even that bad of a choice on supports like taric or alistar or even nunu or leona if you get to that point.

At least panth no longer procs redbuff with his spears like a bitch. So as long as you come to lane with 70 armor/5pots you should be doing ok'ish now regardless of whether he builds mana or pure damage. Ohyeah, mantheon so gay.

After Oriana got nerfed I built chalice when going mid every game. It helps the mana starvation and gives you MR to trade more favorably. I do like being aggressive on ori though, so maybe someone who just sits and farms might not want it. I'm obviously no pro or anything, but it worked for the games I played. Before nerfs you didn't really need the chalice for trading blows as her range allowed you to zone without exchanging hits.

I used to always rush catalyst back in the days on ori, but I just doubt that'll suffice anymore. Looking forward to trying chalice out.

chalice is really oldschool AP item, 2-3 doran rings are probably better in bursty lanes since they not only give regen, but a lot of HP and AP.

There is danger in reading too deeply into Salce going chalice one game. He may have done it specifically because he was against LeBlanc, because he'd need both MR to not die and mana to farm, rather than build chalice as part of his standard build. Actually I think he went straight cata -> RoA on Ori in an earlier game.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmh. I never had mana problems on Orianna oO I played her from lvl10 to lvl25 this summer and never had mana problems, even without runes and masteries.
It's just that your early (until lvl7-8) harass should be entirely Q based, and with 2 drings or a catalyst you'll be ok at that point, since you Q Q Q Q until the opponent is low enough, then go for the full combo.
If you don't spam like a retard she doesn't need to itemize toward mana at all (you can do it as a side benefit with DRings or Cata/RoA).

I think Cass is the most generally applicable champ out of the two. She's viable most of the time as an early pick and can do well even if somewhat counterpicked, which is something that's less true for LB. Both are fun and legit in their own sense and also suffer from the same noobtraps in being bad at cs if you don't know what you're doing.
Cass is more fun for me though, skillshots and the potential to completely dominate many lane matchups and a potentially gamechanging ult lategame.

im not number 1 best player but i open philo stone as my regen item on veigar and just afk farm, i actually like playing him solo top. the sustain from stone is enough to stop you getting poked out while you just level your q. farm champs do amazing solo top and i often delay damage items so its bad to go mid. run teleport + x solo top veigar es number 1.
