 )The most opportunities I've had for DFG in siege mode was pre-Akali nerf when people would run her mid just to have her on the team. I'd go flash+exhaust and man mode people in melee range. This ties in to my teamfight positioning with glass-cannon AP's being really bad. | ||

Just a couple people on the last few pages in the inane sheep conversation were saying that chaox went trinity first, and I wasn't completely sure they were wrong until I watched his stream. You have to smartcast to get his combo off reliably. It should be WERQRRQ, you stack the E right after activating the W (while you're still seiging) and it should go off if you were within range when you started the siege. Early on Xerath is one of the most mana hungry champs in the game compared to his cooldowns (lvl1-4). Dont bother trying to harass much until you have level 2 Q, just use it enough at level 1 to keep yourself at full mana without wasting regen. At level 2 you have a huge opportunity to harass pretty much anyone out of lane, just try not to ruin your own last hits and shoot through the creeps when possible vs pushers. After 2 Drings you just constantly try to harass, get ganks because xerath is probably the easiest mid to get kills off of a gank in the game no matter where he is in lane or how much health he has. The most important part about playing xerath is saving his ult too much, the CD is really short and they cannot retaliate when you use it. Do not be afraid to just pop the full combo even if you don't think you can finish them, maybe you wont, maybe you will, but you end up forcing them out of lane and getting way ahead. You'll also get more kills than you expect chasing with extra Q's and random stuff after the combo, you don't have to set up a perfect kill. Speaking of short range stuff, what summoner are people runnning on Xerath? Ignite is pretty bad most of the time as you arent close enough to use it when you need too. Exhaust is ok as a defensive spell. Tele is tele. I've been running Heal actually pretty frequently, as it gives a nice boost to sustain early, and is good for healing your whole team during the poke wars you want to get into late with xerath as well as being cool for baiting nubs who dive you. Surge is just....well its not much AP and is really obnoxious to use . | ||
