Realistically any jungle who opens with red can just crush a lane now. You cant just kill red to get level 2 though, right? You can. They buffed red buff exp. Its the same as blue in terms of exp now. Not like it mattered, because you could always get team help for wraiths/minis before doing Red and hit 2 either way. Not getting team help for a small camp between 1:40 and 1:55 is just wasting time.

Ya I think it basically comes down to the fact that gols and wolves are stupid far away from eachother, so if you do a clear your gonna be full health, and its probably gonna be more efficient to just gank whatever lane you ended up at or back instead of walking all the way back through the jungle again.

Actually you plan your route so that you end up near the lane you want to gank.

You know whats stupid? Purple top lane gets a free heal because of the golems. Oh my jungler is off doing X and he wont be up here till respawn happens, guess I'll just take this HP rune from big golem ez pz.

Not many champions that didn't already heal off golems will heal off it now- it's like +25 or so, the equivalent of a single autoattack with Irelia.

Does it just give more incentive to go back into jungle instead of wait for the gank or pressuring a lane?
I remember MoonBear talking about game design where they like to design choice into the game so its not always best 100% of the time to do a certain thing. i.e. before when your jungle was clear you could counter a slower jungler or gank a lane or do nothing.

It puts the decision process a bit closer to what laners have. Anything BUT farming MIGHT be more beneficial but has the opportunity cost of the minions you miss. Previously junglers had periods where everything in the jungle was dead and there really was no choice but to gank. This makes "baiting" ganks a bit more rewarding, if you waste the junglers time you actually accomplish something.

If they want to make tradeoffs, then they should smooth out the average outcome so that on average you're as well off as you were before.
As it stands, you have to choose between farming and ganking, but if you choose to only farm, you still only get about as much as you got before if you cleared, and then had free time to gank.

The choice at that point wasn't ever "gank or do nothing". You could also counter-jungle, back to buy items, cover a lane for someone else who needed to back or put yourself in a position to counter-gank. The whole "gank vs nothing, there's no real choice" spiel is a false dichotomy.
