I find that Oracle is a must-buy on the jungler when you're doing well, because you'll deny them any chance of comeback. If you're doing poorly (missed ganks), it's way trickier :/

Yes I mad.

Yes I mad. Generally ~11:00 pm EST the night before the patch.
They have yet to actually announce the patch date btw- it still could be delayed. Typically they have a warning of downtime up in the lol GD.

I'm excited for the patch, can't wait to see how good it makes TF, and a friend plays Morde a lot and is looking forward to the supposed changes. Plus, I can finally start to bid farewell to dodge.

Im undecided on these tf buffs personally. The PAC change is just a "well now I wont fuck up once every 5 games" change, and I dunno about the range increase. Like I guess it helps a bit, but his q is absurdly long range anyway for farming, so I dunno. Maybe it helps ad tf out a bit?

but i think its agreed that they are buffs, im sure most tf players will be glad to see them

This is one of the rare cases where Riot comes out and says "oh look at these buffs!" and they ACTUALLY buffed the character. I'm just not sold they actually, ya know, fix anything.

It has been pretty consistent monday night post-work hours for the patch notes and champ spotlight. Maybe it feels a little off this week since the Ahri sneak peek was months ago, they skipped the champ reveal, and they haven't done a lore judgement in months, so we've only got the short mechanics preview since the last patch for the champ.

I get oracles on udyr very early because I expect to never die.

What does TF need fixed? He may not be your Brand/Annie/Xerath style AP, but as long as your team knows to avoid a 4v5 while you split push or just hang back and poke with you he's strong. His ult is also a strong counter to Vayne and Akali.

His ult is also a strong counter to Vayne and Akali. Note: I do not play a whole lot of TF. This is just my understanding of his situation:
Basically his issue has always been that his laning is actually pretty piss poor against a lot of ap characters. Anyone who wants to be slightly aggressive can generally out trade tf. The thing is that it used to be fine- you traded the pretty bad lane for the ability to fuck with everything on the map. Then they went ahead and got rid of the only thing that actually made you want to play him and put up with his shit laning.
The big thing is going to be the range buff. If its sizable enough to let him actually trade PAC with enemy spells, I think he will be in a great spot. If it cant, well, he is going to be in the same spot he is now.
And I have a feeling its really not going to be enough. They probably are gonna slap 25 range on him and call it a day, when he really needs to go from 510 to something like 575. It isnt enough for him to match other casters at 550- he needs to be longer because he has to rely on his auto to land his spells. (Although I will be honest- I do not know what the spell to ad range conversion is, and you definitely do not want tf outranging spells)
|
...but if TF lands his PAC he hits you with like 3 more autoattacks...
Just hope he doesn't crit!

I am all for TF changes. Mostly because anyone who has ever played TF knows you come in with that gold card gate spam clicking that champ to stun.. and you watch the card go the other direction to hit a minion. Tears to be shed every time it happens.
|
I don't buy oracles much anymore because if they ward I just don't gank and farm all day on jungles huehuehue.
|
I actually like AD TF. The range changes will be fun.

This, a million times. Tears shed. Retarded mechanic, fix long overdue

If you're doing poorly (missed ganks), it's way trickier :/ I have started buying an oracle when bottom lanes are ungankable because of proper warding (right now with 1700-1900 players). You don't have to gank, just clearing out the wards puts any lane on edge. It also forces their jungler/support to get an oracle, or lose any lane you decide to destroy because of lack of vision.
