Want to rage about your latest loss? Use the QQ thread. If you whine in GD, you'll get warned. |
When I have to support I just accept the fact that the result will be more random than solo queue normally is. If you're godly at blitzcrank or know what matchups you can win playing lux then they can work but imo it's not really worth it.
I just pick a babysitter if we have a better team comp and let the match play its course if I feel I need to be influencial I'll pick Janna and try coach the AD into just afk farming. In solo q you generally don't face people good enough to abuse Janna in lane and you end up with a better support later so its a good risk/reward pick for me.
Having said that I wish they would remake/add more interesting supports, Janna and Ali are the only fun ones to play for me that don't suck. Like most of the AP carries have more interesting utility spells than the supports.

I'd take Hotshot, Salce, Saint, Mellisan, Chaox
Thats assuming Hotshot and Saint don't start arguing 24/7. But since that shit ain't possible, I guess I'll take Voyboy.

I would take saint regi and hsgg. I can't really nail down who I'd want for ad and support I've never seen anyone that yells skill to me for those spots.
I've always thought that regi was better then shusei. Idk why I just have always felt that.

Maybe you come from a solid DotA background with good mechanics and are grinding up. For whatever reason, if you know you're better than your lane mate, it's up to you to win the lane. Do you honestly think that the top players on the ladder got through the 1200-1300 elo bracket by saying "oh. w/e i'm last pick so I'll play support, never take cs, and just watch my lane partner miss over 50% of the farm." I highly doubt that. Note the relationship between someone who tilts enough to lose 100 Elo and someone who purposefully picks to spite their team. You have zero ability to know that you aren't legitimately the worst player on your team when you're making that pick to screw your own team. The choice is to pick an offensive support, not to make your AD carry useless. I don't really agree. Keep in mind that I'm talking about elo brackets lower than where you usually are. Bad luck happens and giant losing swings occur ever so often to everyone. Maybe it's different for you, but I know that I have dropped 100+ points below my average elo range due to combination of bad luck and letting my nub bro play on my account. For me, I sit around 1500-1600 elo range. Whenever I drop into the 1400s (or lower), I can play pretty much anything and win 90% of my games. Case in point: I dropped to 1400 flat last month 'cause of the shittiest luck (I got the same troll 5 games in a row even after taking a break, no joke). Once I hit 1420-ish I played Pantheon every game regardless of where my team sent me. I crushed basically every single game. At certain levels, it's possible to tell with a very high chance of success whether or not you're legitimately the best player on the team.
Besides, my original point wasn't whether or not you should steal farm from your carry. It was that below a certain elo range, in my experience, it's the 1400s, people simply don't fucking cs. Like you will run into people who get sub 50 cs in 15 minutes all the time. At those levels, there is absolutely no benefit in taking a support/babysitter champ over another carry or someone who can use farm.

The problem is, at that ELO literally like 5 out of 10 people per game on average have this mindset that you have where you need to carry by yourself.

top - kotiki mid - becca bot - kiruur & loco jungle - missy

top - voyboy : the only player who's playstyle matches what i think a top laner should be mid - regi : supa dupa aggresive and consistently good in tourney's jungle - saintvicious : the only problem with this dumbfuck is he jacks the AD's farm but wont happen with me ! bottom - loco & madlife : me and madlife are the best bottom duo in da game period
team chemistry will depend on if regi and saint can deflate thier heads for the sake of the team

1200ish elo, is just over 300 CS on Gragas acceptable after 45 mins? I know it is nowhere near perfect, but I had the most CS in the game by at least 75
