I'm fairly certain that's true for ranked but normals (the topic of discussion) are a different story. And don't forget, for the vast marjoity of elo, higher rating != better player

I've watched saintvicious' stream but he's not always on of course and was wondering if there's some others I don't know of. Dan Dinh streams mostly jungle play, though he recently has been spamming Xerath games. Lapaka doesn't stream that much, but plays pretty much only junglers.

We kept going like win team fight with one of us surviving or lose team fight with one of them surviving for a long time lol. Our team: Singed, Teemo, Xerath, Katarina, Veigar vs Alistar, Fidlesticks, Riven, Ashe and Twisted Fate

Game 1: We needed a support so I picked up Taric. My lane partner was a Vayne. At the end of that game, which lasted around 25mins, said Vayne had 34 cs. I also had more money on my support Taric than our Malzahar, who was mid. I did not kill any creeps in the laning phase, though I killed some creep waves near the end of the game to vent my frustration. Lesson learnt: When in ranked only play support, if you know your lane partner and he is decent. Game 2: Enemy first picked Singed, I counter pick Kennen, since I learned from IEM that Kennen counters Singed. Indeed I ended up 8-0-5. My friend in the jungle had similar success and together we carried the game. Lesson learnt: Kennen be good. Game 3: Our first pick was a Maokai top. Friend went with Warwick, I picked Annie. My opponent mid was a Katarina. After hitting level 6 I ran around and tibbered a few people, but Maokai was failing pretty hard top vs a Riven. Gank was kind of fail. Flaming started, friend went tilt, everything went downhill. In the end the enemy had a pretty beefed up Riven and Gangplank. Lesson learnt: If ppl start bitching, just put them on ignore before you go tilt. Game 4: Our first pick chose Tryndamere. Okay. With Exhaust and Heal. Wait, wat? He also insisted on going top against Akali and Garen. (Opponents did not have a jungler.) Do I need to mention that he decided to facecheck? Lesson learnt: If your first pick wants to use Heal as summoner spell. Dodge. Taking a break now. -.- edit: I feel like the people in normal games play better. edit2: my english sucks when I am annoyed. edit3: I should have posted this in the QQ thread...

I generally open Vamp Scepter and do wolves -> wraiths -> golems -> blue pill -> full clear. Should I instead open Cloth + 4 or 5 and do full clear starting from blue, assuming that I'll blue pill back after the full clear without counter jungling, so when I resume jungling I'll be full hp? Obviously there are a lot of factors about who the enemy jungler is, possible ganks, etc... but as a general rule, would that be a decent idea?

As a support your gold is usually very limited, that's why some people are against the 2nd and onwards gold/5 item for example. (I usually get 2 in 90% of my games, 3 if I get fed early. =D) An item like Nashors Tooth does exactly nothing in between all your normal "duties" (hint: Wards, Oracles, Auraitems) If you have ever excess gold as support "oh whoops I just KS'd that dude and got like 1k gold for his bounty" I would invest into moar auraitems. If you can get like WotA+ Starks on a support your teamfights are so much more full of rape. I actually dislike Aegis nowadays for those two most of the time. Not entirely sure if it's mathematically correct, but I feel as if they outperform it. (More dmg+more sustain means your carries live longer compared to the armor/mres bonus. If they take colletaral damage the sustain > some mres/armor imoimo.)

Any good counter jungler can take advantage of that and rape your face, especially in solo queue where teammates are 90% less likely to help you when your jungle's getting invaded. Generally, cloth+5 is best if you're unsure. Boots+3 if you're playing a super safe jungler (Lee Sin, WW) and plan to early gank as the mobility will help. Long sword+1 if you're Warwick and/or ballsy. If you're Lee Sin you can open whatever the fuck you like and you'll rape anyways. Wouldn't that second path (b) leave you pretty damn low when you try to gank? My guess is you save smite for wraithjack, but the golemjack would bring you pretty low. I can't imagine you'd have more than 50% hp after finishing golems by starting vamp scepter and thus no potions, especially with 21/0/9 masteries.

Stark's gives 50% of the cost in Lifesteal and Attack Speed to each ally, and the HP Regen and Armor Reduction aura on top. Aegis is still not too bad because it's a very efficient defensive item for yourself too, and supports tend to be relatively squishy mid/lategame.
