Maybe, I'll try it out. But again, it's a bit of a toughness/damage debate. With BT, hitting W in a group of minions is like "holy crap when did Riven get a heal ability?", but I could see IE maybe being nice, and not losing the stacks when dying would be nice. Let me know how it affects your results, I'm pretty interested.

And against all those characters wriggles is gonna do jack shit to actually help you, so there is STILL no point to getting it in favor of either more offense, or grabbing some pure defensive items.

But really, why does riven need wriggles? She already is going to trade favorably with most every champ simply because of her combo+passive, especially at early levels. Skipping wriggles for bruta or a bf sword lets you carry that advantage further into the game.
As far as I can see, there are two main arguments for why Wriggle's over DBlades in Riven's case. You're not spending THAT much more for Wriggle's, so it comes down to how the stats are split (as is always the case when judging Wriggle's vs. DBlades):
1) Because AD scales into Riven's in-fight HP through her shield, and because she has very poor armor/MR growth (non-existent in the case of MR) compared to her HP growth, the most in-demand defensive stats will be armor and MR, not HP, which makes the Wriggle's armor superior to DBlade HP. This is unlike Pantheon who gets natural MR growth, and has significantly higher base armor/armor growth, which makes HP much more attractive.
2) Because Riven is a melee laner with no natural form of HP sustain, she needs to get some sustain from somewhere. Wriggle's higher lifesteal % compared to DBlades is good for this. Early game, damage is not hugely worrisome, as her in-lane burst is considerable already.

Sure, like I said you can full on glass cannon her, but armor and lifesteal in lane DOES help keep you alive, you can't really deny that. I suppose I need to try other builds, so I'll try 2x DBlade Boots BFS later on.

Huh, I guess you're right. Disregard that, I thought I remembered seeing Q and W give me lifesteal. Was probably just passive giving big boosts.

Damn, I didn't get any IP back of my Annie and Poppy I bought before they were reduced. Looks like I'm screwed for Poppy 'cause I bought her less than two weeks before the announcement, but Annie was the first champ I got.

Riven needs to get life steal off of her abilities, just played a fucking game trying out this build of 2 dblades, ninja tabi, and blood thirster. I did alright, 1/4/10 (swain on our team fed 1/10/5) so trynd and veigar were pretty much unstoppable, got ks'd by ally gangplank a couple times, not a big deal.
One thing that really bugs me, is when people play a new champ they always go recommended items, it takes them so long to finally branch out and try new things.
Main notes on why I dislike getting wriggles for riven (at least for laning-riven), riven uses her cooldowns VERY fast, that means you can burst through qwe, in a matter of seconds. The extra attack dmg from BF sword, and dblades justify just using her shield to dash in, burst through w and q, and running away. The shield should protect you from most dmg, while the W also prevents too much dmg being done to you (its a stun). Now if you're laning against ranged carries (like trist, or cait), wriggles is more justifiable, as they out range you, so the armor bonus definitely helps over a the longer period of time.

I like wriggles because I like to whore top for like 20 minutes as Riven (she's very competent at just staying there and farm up everything much like how you'd do it with singed), and the free wards add up. It's also the only armor you can buy if you don't go atmogs since the build will probably be wriggles -> BT -> QSS. I also tend to like going cloth + 5 pots as Riven though that's mostly because I don't dare go Dblade since I don't have the means to do anything once I am behind on HP so a single early gank would throw me out of lane.
She will continue to push top really hard and she's not the easiest person to gank unless you have greater mobility and won't just get derped by her stun the second you run up to her.

The only way your not gonna play all the different roles/lanes is when you play premade 5's. I dont like ranged AD carries for example but when I have to I play them for the greater good -.- (even though I know there are other options to play bottom, I'am not into what happens in the chat when I pick sth else for there).
Apart from the fact that I only play jungle Trundle since lane isn't his forte, I have yet to find a solo queue game where I'd have to fill that AP carry slot. 
Hell, yesterday I had when I first picked Morgana, w/o locking of course, and 3s later teammates pick Veigar, LeBlanc, Amumu (jungle, tho). Then lock before complaining about the absurde amount of AP on team. Glad an opponent dodged, would have had to do it myself.

See, Id actually love this feature, if not for the fact that my push to talk is the fucking tilde key, which makes last hitting and talking, ya know, impossible.

How do you even press the tilde key and QWER ^_^ Maybe my fingers are just short.
Although I've always used Mouse Button 4 for my push to talk so I could just lack practice...

I thought the same thing. I was trying to talk on Vent and raging about not being able to last hit, thinking "why the fuck would you not want to target anything by pushing a button?". Then I found this out. If I can't remap this to Shift or side Mouse or something, I'm remapping my PTT instantly.

You can't remap ` in-game.
I think it's listed in the key bindings somewhere but remapping said key binding doesn't actually do anything as far as I can see.
I told MoonBear about this a while ago but I'm not sure if he actually followed up on it.

This cost me only 1 single fight, before I changed it.
You probably already know, but when you hold ctrl + (q/w/e/r), you can spend one point in that skill, if you have a skill point available.
I play nidalee a lot. I was speaking on vent while playing, and right as I get to lvl 6, I wanted to throw a spear, at the same time as I was speaking on vent... And there it is, 1 more point spent in Q at lvl 6, and no ultimate at level 6...
Then proceed to get ganked, I don't have my catform + pounce to run away, so I just die there.
I know it's at the extreme of the badluck that could happen, but hey, it happened once, it can happen more often.
My PTT is a f.ing mouse button now, and is the ONLY push to talk button and you're a fool if you think otherwise
