I was actually shocked when I first watched HSGG's stream. First I wondered how he even manages to play at such a high level with that attitude. The guy makes this up with his immense individual skill and dedication, so if he would manage to humble up a bit then he would be pure gold. His biggest weakness is probably that he allways feels pressured to carry real hard so he does alot of weird, aggressive stuff that makes him either look like a genious or a raging kid that just overextended and blames his team for it.

Yeh, HSGG definitely rages too much but in past scrims I've watched SV adds to the problem more than anyone else. I do agree with other people that HSGG should just step up and admit when he's in the wrong.

There are just things about SV that I think a lot of the people on CLG dislike. For example Chauster had this to say about him on his questions thread:

who do you prefer on jungle duty, saintvicious or kobe, and why? what are teh differences in their playstyles?
i prefer kobe when he is not rusty because he actually plays amumu and does ganks well. also he doesnt try to lead the team and assume he is 100% right all the time when 3 other people are telling him otherwise

I didn't watch this game so I'll take people's word for it that he made good calls. I just know that SV tends to tilt just as bad as HSGG does and has about the same ego. The only real difference is that SV doesn't rage as badly imo.

Obviously the drama isn't too terrible because they can still win games when they're all yelling at each other.

edit note:
That quote is from mid July. Chauster may not feel that way anymore.

I think its actually BEST for CLG if they have someone who leads the team and assumes he is right 100% of the time, especially since his calls are typically really good. Their biggest problem is that they tend to fall into huge periods of indecision and inaction, whereas TSM has regi to make sure they are always involved in some sort of team action. He isnt always right, but having a leader who makes good calls that the team is willing to follow is invaluable. Just look at TSM results in big tourneys.

lol what? That doesn't even support your argument. CLG doesn't have a central shot caller like TSM does yet CLG still produces slightly better results than TSM thus far.

For some reason TSM seems more consistent than CLG. TSM went 3rd in dreamhack and made NY, whereas CLG aint goin to New York and finished terribly at DH. I am aware that CLG picked up MLG, but I'm not as convinced as you that the recent results favor CLG.

EDIT- This is where not having a liquipedia for lol really sucks cuz I cant go back and check to see what the actual placements have been recently.

Since Dreamhack CLG has been generally outperforming TSM. They missed on NY, but I don't think TSM is going to China (CLG is) but I don't see you bringing that up.

OK, so I have been having two problems recently with my gameplay.

The first issue is with my jungling post-6. Levels 1-6 I can generally keep up with the rest of my team. After that though I always seem to get underleveled by 2-3 levels for no good reason. I try to continue to go through the jungle, kill creeps (giving buffs to our mid/AD carry), but I end up level 10 when most other people are level 12 or 13. I am not entirely sure how to fix this without going to top lane and stealing all their exp.

Second issue is more with my laning on AP carries (mid) and Ashe (bot). I CS well for the first 10-15 mins (up till about level 8/9), but after that the rate that my CS goes up is pitiful. I get 80-85ish CS in about 10 mins (not good, but not horrible), and I end the 40 min game with like 140. It is probably because I focus way too much on killing opponents after the laning phase is over. How can I get my focus on getting CS after the laning phase is over?

(I guess they are both related, mostly CSing after 10 or so mins.)

You clear your jungle faster, meaning you have more time where you aren't earning experience, while lanes continually gain experience the entire time. You need to spend more time ganking, and only grabbing the big xp camps from the jungle. Stealing a different lanes xp doesn't matter if you just killed the people in that lane so they aren't getting any.

It depends on who you are playing and how quickly you can clear a wave. Brand or morg will clear a wave faster than ryze. Picking up creep waves that are pushing is the best way to get cs (you can pick up 20+ from a massive wave that occasionally accumulates).

As anyone tried crit riven? Theoretically the triple multiplier of her passive, her ult and crit means massive damage. At 18 with IE and youmoo's with her ult up deals 236 * 1.5 * 2.5 = 885 damage swings.

that only works on spells that apply "on-hit" effects. gangplanks parrrrrrrrrrrrrley can crit, as well as ez' mystic shot. riven does not have spells that apply on-hit effects and her passive IS an on-hit effect itself.

Stacks his saplings on wolves to instaclear them at 1:40, then gets a big pull on blue->wraiths->minis->bluepill->whatever. Item build is roughly boots->RoA->Sorcs or Mercs->Sheen/Spellblade/BVeil/Glacial in whatever order makes most sense for the game.

Tested it in game.
Level 15 with Youmoo IE CDR boots 3 crit cloaks
208 AD(250 with ult) +4 to minions, forgot to screenshot the bonus AD but her base AD at 15 is 95

Plain crit 567
Passive + crit 639
Ult + crit 679
Ult + Passive + crit 773

I am at a lost on how that math works out but it doesn't seem like the passive crit

I was referring to the 2.5 and 1.5 part. It's more likely that they would apply separately and be added on, not one be multiplied and then have the total multiplied again.

LOL! So I'm playing a game of late night ranked on eu east, playing rumble as always and it's the most even and fun game in ages and after a bad start we slowly slowly make our way back and win and I together with vayne and olaf end up carrying pretty nicely and no trolling whatsoever for any team.

So the fun sick part!!!

I've been max 1.6k ranked before other people in my team 1.5k in general as max and it is where we are right now as well.

Oppenents on the other hand have had much much higher rating than us before reset.
2k
2.2k
1.8k
1.7k
1.9k

How the hell could we win, am I really that good? :D (no qq this time, just random bragging)

So I encountered the infamous troll aznwiseguy in ranked few hours ago. I was akali mid vs his twitch mid. I leash blue for jungler and was expecting their ap to come mid, but out of nowhere he starts hitting me and crits me couple times. So biggest mistake i made was to port back and let him lvl. I buy a few more pots and come back mid, where he stealths and once he reaches lvl 3 unleashes on me (lvl1 or 2 i can't remember). i get a q proc off and ignite, but he fb and then dies to ignite. The lucky fucker just crits crits crits. (I find out he has a crit rune page after the game- half chance half dmg runes)

Next encounter I try to set up a gank with jarv. I bait him to commit but jarv doesn't move for a couple seconds, and I get critted up the ass and die. jarv comes late and dies after a few crits... we make a small comeback mid game but that twitch knows how to catch ppl off guard and gets insanely fed.

The interesting part is, he was talking shit to me and my team, as WELL as his own team the entire game. I was thinking of just muting him, but this guy's troll mode was just legendary. Like I've never seen someone troll this hard before. I just want a rematch so bad... we're at similar ELO right now so fingers crossed.

Something I always do although I've never taken it into consideration to labeling it as a "technique" for keeping up on levels as a jungler. It's kind of just second nature now. This should also apply to the laners roaming to other lanes to gank or support. The time it takes for you to return back to your lane will result in some of the creeps dying by the time you get there. Sometimes it's best just to farm the lane you're currently in

http://clgaming.net/board/board39-reign-of-gaming/board40-blogs/board71-rock-solid/3330-jungling-tips-vol-1/#post27428

Jungling Tips Vol. 1 by Jatt
I'm probably not going to be posting detailed guides for how to play specific junglers, there are plenty of resources online for people to find beginner and intermediate guides on how to jungle certain champions. Instead, i'll make posts regarding general jungling theory and a few small tips and tricks that i've picked up in my experience.

Leeching XP from lanes: This is a topic in which alot of hate gets thrown around in game. "NOC GET THE FK OUT OF MY LANE" is a fairly common line I hear alot of. What I want to explain is that there is a time and a place for stealing lane experience which is actually beneficial to the team as a whole. It's all about maximizing XP gain for the team. let's say that your mid lane shopped at the same time as the other midlane, and both sides creeps meet at the middle of the map. Normally, when the midlanes return there will be 1-3 creeps remaining on each side for the midlanes to clean up. If you, as the jungler, kill all 6 creeps immediately and let the lane shove to the tower you maximize XP gain for your team. your team gets all 6 while their team gets the 1 or 2 the tower didn't clean up. The same theory applies if you are playing a fast jungler like Udyr and your jungle is completely clear. In that situation, attempt a gank. If it doesn't work, no big deal. maintain a presence in the lane in whatever way you can.(zone the other guy, wait in a bush, shove the lane to the tower with your partner) Remember, Riot made a change to XP gains where more overall experience is gained when 2 people are in the lane as opposed to 1.

Sorry if that wasn't very clear but I think it gets the point across. being ahead on XP compared to the enemy jungler has amazing advantages. If you are higher level + have better items you can start asserting your dominance over the other jungler much more easily. it makes it easier to countergank and fight 2v2's and you can often snowball your advantage by invading the enemies jungle with your superior level and item build.
