Uh, might help if you tell us what champion(s) you're playing.
Unless you're asking for what are good matchups.
Edit: Uta, you were good. You're just too lackadaisical now.

zalz, don't try to speak like an expert on the topic when it just might be that you're not playing the champion correctly. There's a reason we see Swain picked quite often at higher ELO in tournament games, and it's not because the character is terrible. And don't try to make up for it by inflating your numbers (I used to be like almost top 200 a little bit you know *smugface*); it doesn't bode well on you. Point being, I don't mind if people are bad at the game. I mind if they don't contribute positively.
I didn't used to be almost top 200, i simply stated the fact that when i had 1625 and actually still played ranked wich was probably 6+ months ago, it was still in the top 200.
2000 elo only means something when everyone else has lower then 2000. So when i say 1625, that's a number from 6 months ago at wich point it meant being top 200.
You know this is getting really ridiculous. One person asks me for my account name and stats and i give it to them, another person flames me for bragging about it? Where do you even get this smugface from?
Am i really gonna brag about my ranked games when i allready stated 3 times that i stopped playing ranked games 6 months ago?
This is the problem with 20+ people flipping out just cause i call Swain a terrible champion. One half screams in one ear the other half in the other. One guy asks this, the other guy flames me for even answering it. If i don't answer then ill get flamed for not answering. There really is no dealing with a crowd like that. Hell i even answered southlights post directly and the only response to that was him taking his proverbial toys and marching off. But ofcourse that's all logical reasoning because i don't recall anyone complaining about that.
No much more important that we focus on a perceived notion of bragging in a community that, let's be honest, is nearly entirely build around kicking down and begging up.

anyone notice how its only ever euros that come into this thread with huge egos? just sayin

It was pretty standard on the old Kayle... Can't really comment on the re-worked Kayle, but I just looked up her ratios and they're pretty shitty for AP, other than her Q (it's 1.0, but W and E are 0.2).

Hahah, I just don't feel, mm, I feel like the time and effort I'd devote to the game to become "good" again isn't worth the dividends; similar to how I felt when I was right around the top ranks in Guild Wars and didn't reap any benefits.

I don't even know what's going on, but zalz: Caller is just trolling you.
Also, everybody needs to chill out.

you dont want to let him push the lane freely from lvl 1 onwards, once he starts with it u cant touch him because he has a million creeps on his side.

The main problem is that you came in and started saying Swain was bad in such absolute terms. I think that is really what really ticked everyone off. It wasn't really asking questions but more stating facts at us. Generally, that's reserved for the top players. Because even if they're still bad, at least they have experience and reasonable theory to back it up. While it's possible to luck up to high elo, there is still a distinct difference in how higher level elo people see and interpret things.
I am a bad player. I am totally honest about this. So I asked some of my friends to 1v1 me and tell me what I was doing wrong. They crushed my face hours on end. But when I asked for advice, the stuff they told me I was doing wrong were things I had never really thought about. Like positioning when punishing last hits, how many creep hits we each tanked when trading autoattacks, etc.
It's like when in math you finally figure out that instead of using a formula to solve quadratics, you can straight factorise them no matter what by looking at the x co-efficient. Or just knowing how to spot the substitution you need to use for complex integration. It's just a completely higher plane of thinking.
We're a pretty close-knit community, and while some people do occasionally troll, for the most part I trust what people say here. While I guess that also means we sometimes can be insular, saying we're arrogant or the like I think would be wrong.
TL;DR If you want to talk about an issue and you're not amazingly good, put it in the form of a question. Not a statement. Especially if it sounds like a rant.

Simply put, you can cut your cooldowns in half with CDR, and then cut them in half AGAIN with attack speed. Except with the attack speed, there is practically no upper limit to how much you can reduce your cooldowns. So when you have 31% CDR, 82%aspd and 148AP from masteries, Nashor's Tooth, and GRB, in a teamfight you can have your shield permenently up, refreshing something like every 3 seconds, Q about once per second, and E about once every 4 seconds.
Needless to say, I think Sheen is a red herring. The optimum build is something like:
boots 1 Chalice Nashor's GRB Zerks/Mercs/Swifts SV Wit's End/Bloodrazor, depending on the aspd cap, I'm not sure how many items it takes to max it out. I have a burning hatred for everything that is Nashor's Tooth, since I just think it's a shitty item in general - it combines a bunch of stats (mp5, ap, as, cdr) that generally don't work together on any hero. However, I think the way we're playing skarner actually works OK with nashors tooth. I would suggest GRB before nash though, since he can keep that stacked up almost as well as Nidalee can. Got to try this soon. I'd rather get Philo over Chalice and therefore Shurelyas over SV. GRB is cool, Nashors tooth probably could be too, didn't test that out yet.
The real trouble: Offensive items, np: Wits / GRB / Nashors. Defensive Items: Shurelyas/SV / ?????? Atmogs? =P

Fuu delayed penta on Panth. I wish people would just let me kill them right away instead of making me chase them. I'm 20-0 and the game is over anyways, might as well make me happy by giving me a Pantheon penta kill.
Gunblade Pantheon 2strong. I remember telling Smash about a cutlass build that I liked and he just shrugged it off. WHAT NOW.

Turkey's trying to make Nashor's Tooth on every champion. I dunno how it'll turn out.
On a side note I was never a fan of NT on Kayle, as I definitively felt the Korean style of RGB -> IE -> triple pot was muuuuuuuuuch stronger. That was quite a debate back then though.

I'd run away too.
Loci suggested Gunblade Panth like two days ago.

Dunno I just don't like theorycrafting in LoL. There's so many ideas that would be considered "dumb" but they turn out to be really strong after people began to bandwagon them. Remember when Warmogs was considered awful because it "only gave health for 3k gold" and Eve was awful because Oracles countered her. I just play something and if I like it, I'll stick with it. I don't care if people do the math against it or come up with some reasons why it would be bad.

While I agree with the idea of this post, I'm not sure I like the examples, seeing as neither of those are "theorycrafting" more than "low elo misconceptions".
If anything, it's the theorycrafting that suggested that Warmog's raw cost-effectiveness post-buff would be really strong, well before people actually started using it commonly.

I would agree, but I think a lot of it is based on what you want to take away from the theorycrafting. If you're bringing up a possibility of something working, and explain why, then all parties involved could learn something, especially when said something is tested out. If you bring up a possibility of something not working, that's usually a lot more useless.
