IMO your team's main AP caster is usually going to be a better candidate to take blue. And yeah, locket prevents you from going OOM, but that also means you either have to get some kills/assists early, or drop going full-babysitter and steal farm from your lanemate, if you want to finish it in reasonable time. | ||

No I totally agree on that, I just mentioned kass because as a character he usually gets to the midgame in really good shape with 4+ stacks on soulstealer and is also less likely to die even in the hands of a bad player. And really, it's extremely easy to not be bad at kass. Being good is another story but as long as you use your ult to run away and dont let it stack too much you're fine taking any buffs. | ||

As I said earlier, I dislike sidelane support Zilean, because if you go in saying you're not going to farm, you're basically going into the game saying "I'm going to let one-and-a-half of my abilities become useless" because you're not going to get significant AP/MPen towards bombs, hence losing their utility and half of Rewind's utility (if bombs are useless, then refreshing their CD is also useless). It's not like Janna or Taric where the non-damage component of your spells contains their real utility--Time Bomb is only about the damage, so you need to give it some scaling for it to stay relevant. | ||
