It's tough to call Gunblade "Super Strong" on Akali, even post buffs. It's certainly not bad, but it has a few core problems.

The most obvious problem being that it's expensive. While very cost effective, there are many other very potent options for her at a lower price. Rylai's, Lich Bane, Rageblade, Zhonya's etc. are all cheaper while being subjectively better items.

The second issue is that Gunblade is best when you already have a lot of damage to vamp. This means almost all builds generally get this last or next to last. Otherwise there simply isn't enough damage to make the vamp very effective.

Gunblade does become "Super Strong" on Akali if you stack them. At two Gunblades you can't be killed 1v1 unless the enemy champion can stun you and kill you before it wears off. At three you can 2v1 (same condition applies), and at four you can solo Baron while half-asleep. Each Gunblade also adds more damage than the last due to Discipline of Force's scaling.

Of course, stacking Gunblades is largely a joke. Very few games last long enough to permit stacking them, and even if you have the time and gold you have no health buffer to survive focus fire and no reliable slow.

I very much like the buff to Will of the Ancients; I think it will be worth getting on many teams now, seems to be like magical Starks Fervor. I think sword of the divine will still be gimmicky item, but at least less gimmicky; you want your big item as first (IE/BR/GB), but after that you will most likely want survivability and even after that, it doesnt synergyze particularly well with anything, providing magic damage but armor penetration AND attack speed, not really great stat unless you stack on hit effects.

The Xin fix before was GB only...

Hexdrinker is ok, but keep in mind it doesn't build into anything. If you really need it to stop a spike on a carry, go ahead and buy it, but getting Catalyst + Negatrons for slightly more will do you better late game probably.

ah, ic, at least im not completely crazy, just a little bit. i knew i had seen something like that xin fix before haha

idk, hex is certainly going to be like a shittier vers of bveil, but its also significantly cheaper, so it can get your carry back in the game alot easier than trying to scramble together a bveil. I seriously doubt its going to affect high level play much, more of a crutch for ppl having a hard time in matchups against ap carries in solo lanes

based solely on my limited knowledge of the game and how i've processed what higher lvl ppl have told me, i dont think that sona's nerf has really changed much at all. I'd imagine the biggest change will be the mana cost increases for stance dancing, but i dont think any1 will be able to tell the full effects until she's tried in a game. I feel like they didnt really change the core issue with sona in that she's stupid hard to lane against in a duo lane, tho who knows, maybe the new mana costs will be enough.

as far as corki goes, i was listening to red talk about it, and he basically said (as i understood it, and i agree) that corki coulda used either the buff to his missiles (25% ad ratio) OR the base stat increases to missiles, and riot decided to give both, making him stupid strong. Now it seems they're trying to rectify that by toning down the strength of rockets to make up for the fact that they get a reasonably large sized dmg increase, which at the very least put him in his place, but i doubt it will make him weak by any means

long story short, i think they're both still quite strong, tho less sure on sona than corki.

Sona's still retarded because of Q range, although her mana upkeep is questionable. Corki's still retarded but at least The Big Fucking OP One won't one-shot your team anymore.

It was more her simplicity that bugged me....

Once you hit midgame just face-roll Q, W, and E constantly, (even out of combat, you have infinite mana), and right click around a bunch. Occasionally use ur ult.

Kennen's at a pretty good point as far as balance is concerned imo. I wouldn't touch him for a long time if I were riot.

Anyone have Irelia's numbers? Someone told me Hitten Style's numbers are busted as fuck, but I'd just like something concrete to reference.
