So glad about the Blitz + Poppy changes. I ALWAYS messed up that followup attack.

LOL @ nerfing Eve beyond removing the stun.

Jax has it aswell, really nice if oyu leap on someone, almost kill them and turn around to hit a minion :/

Well, no, I won't blame the guy, there are people who should check his work and he exposed himself on the forums which signifies some guts.

EDIT: Btw, #2 best bird has been hit quite hard with the changes of his healing. Swain isn't typically building for a lot of MPen, being a tanky caster, so you should expect the numbers on healing vs champions (and late game vs minions to some extent) to drop pretty significantly. Doesn't hurt his laning, but the "outlast everyone" philosophy of his teamfighting might be pretty much dead.

I'm really happy about the Vlad nerfs, they're somewhat minor, +1 second CD on Q on maxlevel, 5% less spellvamp on Hextech, Ignite effects Spellvamp. Im just gonna build a faster Will Of The Ancients now and SV now also effects spellvamp which is a small buff. Now hopefully people will somewhat stop playing/banning him and I can continue abusing him eheheheh.

Wait, how come everybody feels that GP is that much stronger now? Like he slows a bit better comng from jungle,his ult is still bad afaik and he has little aoe damage like renekton, no hard CC..

I have to be missing something big here.

According to internal testing as reported by MoonBear, jungleplank has a clear time of 3:40 startin at blue with a hard leash. That's pretty good. With red buff, Q can help as a gap closer and his stackin slow keeps them in whacking range/ult. Additionally, his ult is global which means he will have a strong map presence throughout the game and assist in ganks/fights in lane all over the map.

As a laner, GP in his first incarnation was considered OP because Q applied his passive; it did a ton of damage and reduced heal and did dot, which was pretty deadly in lane. GP passive no longer applies heal reduc, so it's weaker in that respect, but now his Q applies the passive again. A lucky crit on a Q was already really strong, add to that a buffed dot and GP's harass becomes very powerful. Not to mention his raise morale gives a much larger AD buff, which will also increase the punishing power of his Q. Also, the fact that his passive stacks and got buffed means that trading hits will likely be in favor of GP.

He can catch stuff now while in melee because he never was fast enough prepatch obviously.

Grog Soaked Blade now is applied by Parrrley. If you are strong enough to 1v1 someone, he will never get away thanks to E and the stacking slow. Jungle GP ganks will be amazing.

No idea about the Jax and XZ nerfs. But with the GP buff, Guinsoo wants Jungle GP to be able to open a gank with his Q. Currently, his most reliable way of getting a slow in is Ult since getting into melee range is not always practical without blowing summoners. Internal Riot test on a working patch gave GP a clear time of 3:40 or something on one jungle route with hard leash, opened Cloth+5 but did not need to use all pots. Do not know Runes+Masteries. Don't remember exact figures. But it was pretty good. Think this time might have gone up since that test.

Even now you can Parrrrley for a slow with the Lizard buff, it's still counted as melee so it slows for a ton. The passive doesn't really change anything for this, so the reason is silly.


Balance is an interesting thing at Riot. There is balance at the High-Elo spectrum, but there must always be balance at the Low-Elo area too. Many of the people who play this game are not ultra-competitive. In fact, many of the players are not ranked. As a significant portion of the player base, Riot must also ensure that playing the game is fun for them as well. If the game is not fun for them anymore, then there is no reason to play it. A game that is not accessible to people is not a direction that any game company should take if they want to remain viable.

A good article worth reading would be this. While it talks about Magic the Gathering instead of LoL, the same principles apply. It may also be worth noting that several of the Design Team have background in balancing and design from things such as Magic.

Except at those levels balance doesn't matter at all and the better player is going to win no matter what he plays. You seriously want to balance the game around people who just a-move and pray without any additional commands? How is it "balancing" anyway... I'm just completely amazed by the complete lack of logic here. Please buff Rumble because he's UP at 600 elo because his skills are too complicated.

I saw that Janna and TF passives didn't work when they were dead, so I expected the same for Zil but nope. First blooded Zil still gives passive yay

Yeah BTW for Jax's earlygame you can just have the dmg ratio scale from 0.7 at lvl 1 up to 1 at lvl 5 or something

It's way more simple to just cut the base damage on Q. Although it somewhat sets his rune choices in stone (even less reason to pick up MPen), but maybe it's not a bad thing.

I'm kind of sad they nerfed malzahar. He's only situationally better than annie and swain at this point it feels.

I understand nerfing the pool but nerfing the damage on his ult too means he might not always be able to blow people up, and where's the fun in that?
