Do you guys left click on individual minions to track their HP? I've thought about doing that but I don't think I can split my attention well enough to do that while watching minimap/not walking straight into enemy tower. I mean I can just play Janna and stack philos (what I end up doing most of the time huehue) or AoE spam creep waves down later on, but I am pretty sure that isn't a long-term solution. How many total games have you played? Eventually you'll just get a feel for things.

dunno my CSing isn't the absolute worst but I was just wondering if there's a method other than intuition/feel/just knowing/etc. to use while I develop a better feel for it. In the end I still need to grind it more anyways. dnastyx: urm around ~350ish normals? Not a ton of games played and certainly not a ton of games played where it matters if I last hit or not :V

My favorite champions for lasthitting are Corki and Kayle, because their attack animations are so smooth and quick. It's kind of a waste since they just blow through waves with spells once they get some mana regen. On the other hand, starting with cloth + 5 pots on (utility spec) kog'maw is still a nightmare for me, and one of the main reasons I don't play him more often.

A lot of AP casters aren't great for last hitting, as low base damage and poor animation are pretty sucky, but it's okay as you quickly get to the point where you end up mainly last hitting with spells with a lot of champs. On June 08 2011 08:59 Flakes wrote: Lasthitting is pretty much a learned, mechanical skill that requires little decision-making once you get good at it, and you simply get better over time if you focus on it. Opening with Offensive Mastery (extra damage to creeps) and dorans blade will give you a bigger lasthit window to practice with. Champions also have different base damage and attack animations that require getting used to. You shouldn't be trying to open with offensive mastery unless it's actually good on that champion (and it's not that good on that many champs), it's just bad practice. As for last hitting in general, tbh if you are missing it by 1-2 hits a lot of the time you need to practice more. I dare say it's not particularly hard to last hit in LoL, especially if you've played Dota or HoN. Just practice more I guess, maybe wait longer if you do it always too early? :p Also, if you're having that much trouble I guess it would be better starting off practicing with champions that have decent base damage and build damage items on that, as last hitting is pretty easy on these champs. So like ranged carries or melee dps. Another important thing to bear in mind is that you should be using champions' skills to last hit. Champs like malz, vlad, corki, morg and the list goes on and on end up getting most of their cs from their skills. You should be doing this too, as it's so much easier and gives you much better cs.

Go to practice game. Be alone, practice last hitting until every time, you can get all creeps perfectly with one champion. If you can't do that in the real game, you need more practice.

those piece of imba are the main dps and generally the minion targetted by casters is the next one to die and the one you should focus on

I'm guessing the colorblind healthbars you're using are from the time of the old patcher when you could still install custom skins and the like. I remember seeing some threads about this and people were asking for a workaround with the new patcher so try googling and searching official forums and pay attention to the date of the posts.

I really think that the only troublesome ranged animation is Annie's. I guess people haven't played enough Traxex or something.

I usually mist a lot of last hits when there are siege minions around. They deal sometimes too much damage to handle. Missing last hits when there are only melee minions fighting each other is nigh impossible since they don't deal any damage.
