I found RiotTravis's post to be fairly interesting: Source Sounds like Riot is a victim of it's own free-to-play success. It's so successful it can't release features people actually want. imo they should just charge the game for like 5-8 bucks.instead of making it free to play, i mean, how many cheap bastards out there that nvr bought any riot points? i know i'm one of them  | ||

Instead, they insist that they know better than we do which features improve the community's ability to enjoy the game and foster a competitive scene. I mean, it isnt like we're the community or anything. Let's be fair here. Blizzard has 5+ years of experience in miscommunication under their belts. Actually, LoL's community is almost exactly like Vanilla WoW. It's so close to a 1 to 1 match it's not even funny. The upshot of this similarity is this, whatever we the self-chosen elite of LoL want there is a teething, unwashed mass of players who are honestly more interested in the next champion and new skins. We want to believe we're the most important part of the community, and some veteran WoW players would argue that it would be healthier for the game if we were, but ultimately Riot is more concerned with keeping Jimmy McFacecheck interested in the game than you or I. | ||
