Forget it though, I hate the official forums. It's nearly impossible for the average person to actually discuss anything, since either the thread disappears in 5 minutes or has a million people posting in it at the same time. I used to think people were harsh for calling that WoW style of saturation useless, but in terms of me being able to contribute anything to a discussion that's exactly what the general forum is. I found RiotTravis's post to be fairly interesting: The challenge, from what I understand, isn't so much the technology itself (we have an "observer mode" in tournament-specific builds) but rather the amount and scale of players we are supporting + the exponential growth of the playerbase over a relatively short amount of time. SourceSounds like Riot is a victim of it's own free-to-play success. It's so successful it can't release features people actually want. | ||
