With AP Casters, you go full on AP. You two based on two situations: 1. You have enough AP/MPen where you can burst on 1 or a few champions and kill them before they can collectively burst back (typical Annie) 2. You wait for a few spells (ultis if you're a bit lucky) to go off on your team, flank in and burst them down while enemy is on their CD. Going Abyssal/Zhonya's might work for you and I'm not going to criticize. But it is definitely reminiscent of you being a tanky DPS main. No joke. zz

Flat Armor rapes, but so does nimbleness. It's silly to think that you need to make all your seals dodge in order to utilize nimbleness, so like, I like getting 2-3.5% extra dodge to make nimbleness more reliable. Then from there, Getting some flat MRes padding to counter early flat pen is cool and getting more later is also cool. Flat resistance Quints beat out Flat HP Quints (26 HP = 68.6 gold in defensive stats) (Flat MRes Quints: 4.5 = 75 gold, Flat Armor Quints: 4.26 = 71 gold), ESPECIALLY considering that HoG is straight HP and core on like, everyone now. tl;dr: Smash uses a combination of Science and "feeling out" his rune pages, the result is jawesome.

-I made the run of "grind to 1600, learn new champs, back to 1300, grind back up" for the third time now to get a huge variety in my champselection and improve in general aspects. When I tryhard getting to 1500/1600 is no huge trouble at all. I carry feeders all fucking day, np. -I'm comfortable in not flat out losing my lane, even if I do I won't end up feeding like a retard. -My problem is: I feel I'm having less impact on the overall game than in the elo bracket below. - This either means it's not possible or it means I'm too much of a scrub to do it. Since I'm a firm believer in the god of jungle chogath aka 5H1T, it's me being a scrub. Basicly, I start to lose some lanes here and there, once teamfighting starts I feel in my element again. Also I feel as if I have a strong edge there on almost all players (stuff like getting outfarmed/killed as AD, but simply having superior positioning in fights). Is this simply me playing too many champs and having less experience with each of them or is there other stuff I can do? Should I concentrate on a few champs or keep spreading myself all over the place? Any general things that I should be aware of in the elo bracket I mentioned compared to the stuff below? The two roles I still carry like a boss is jungling and support, people are so horribly bad at it, it's not even funny.

Below 1100- These people are terrible. Bad builds, Bad last hitting, Bad gamesense, Open to ganks. Easy to carry. Below 1300- Here we start to see some sense of skill, possibly the knowledge of how to lane, definite knowledge of how to pick on weak links and get fed. Failings include not knowing where to be, how to take objectives, or win games. Below 1800 (rough estimate, as I have yet to get here)- No longer possible to pick on people for lack of knowledge how to win games, you have to combine a strong laning phase with knowing how to win in order to win regularly. This generally means having a champ you are GOOD with. Its the reason Doublelift is known for blitz, HSGG for Nid, Saint for Trundle. A champ you simply are better at than anyone else in your game, and you can carry your way to enough of a lead to where you can close it out. Not a full 18-1 carry, but maybe a 8-3, grab a fast baron and push carry. IMO that last category simply involves finding a champ you can just play better than anyone you will meet in your games.

I tend to just try pick champ's that are hard to counterpick if I'm picking early, or pick champs that counterpick the enemy if I have a later pick. Most people still don't control the lane that well, so holding it at my tower is often something I'll use to safely farm and leave the enemy open to jungle ganks (not that I ever expect the jungler to gank my lane). You're probably at the point where the enemy does actually know objectives like Baron/Dragon exist, so they are actually risky to do now. I stopped forcing them in risky situations and won a lot more games because of it (compared to low elo where doing them in risky situations can win you a lot of games). In terms of jungling I feel like the earlier you can gank the better, its super easy to get first blood on junglers like jarvan/fiddle/ali who have good level 2 ganks. These junglers also reduce the amount of games where you're power leveling to 6 while some scrub somehow gets demolished in lane near beyond repair. Do the brush ganks top/bot because no one wards them and rarely are they cv'd. The only other thing that I had some success with was picking a champ like Maokai solo mid, get a lot of easy wins because people don't know how to lane against him. Since you're EU its probably harder to find these champions (although I guess Mao isn't popular there either), but on US I think there's huge scope to spam games on Rumble/Gragas who completely dominate if you are good at them. Dubu on US went from basically 1700-2100 playing Rumble. I hear Fiddle jungle isn't popular on EU...he might be worth a try there. That's all I can think of for now, hopefully someone can post how to get plat. edit: Duo Q still works really well if both of you are actually legit > the rating you're aiming for, and don't give up in games where you're losing.

Not exactly. They have specific backup servers located in new york that are used solely for overflow, which is what EU gets sent to. That doesn't impact the standard NA servers.

You get into a teamfight, they dive the "squishy" lux and then you kill them and heal for 1k+ lolol.

You could get to 1700+ definitely by jungling/supporting. If all else fails duo queue with someone you trust to carry while you jungle/support them. If you feel laning isn't your strongest area then you could try the push hard -> gank strat
