Uuuh, I've played 8 ranked games so far I think. Going 7 - 1, only game I lost was 'cause noobs were too noobish for me to carry.
Anyway, when do I get ranked? After I finish a game it says: "Not ranked" but when I go to a chatroom and go to my name, it says 1397 (or something like that). So... wtf is up with this?

Because you haven't played 10 ranked games yet. It'll show up in your profile at that time.

You are "unranked" until you have played 10 ranked games in one category (10 3v3, 5v5 or solo).

actually you are unranked in each catetory until you have played 10 ranked games in each individually. (i.e. if you do 10 ranked games in premade 5s, that doesnt mean you get to be ranked in premade 3s)

Btw, those 10 "unranked" matches (aka placement matches? ) are all a piece of crap. Seems like I'm playing with people that just started the game at lvl 1 or something -_-. Only time we have a jungle is when i'm jungling, and the only jungle i'm good at is Nunu... and Nunu can't carry that well... noobs make me lose games T_T FkFk

If you belonged any higher it wouldn't really matter what champ you played though, I had a ranked Sion game today for the first time and we stomped them really hard.

He means that it doesn't matter which champion you play, good players carry with shitty champs anyway.
And the ultimate truth (IMO) is - champions, optimal item builds, summoner spells - it all matters WAY WAY WAY less than skill. These are just the things that increase chances of winning, if 2 teams have players of the same skill, ones with better champs/item builds will win, but if one team has better players champs and items will not matter THAT much.

Ok so I'm never gonna touch a ranked game with a 5ft pole ever again, what a bloody nightmare it was.First of all the game is really delayed or laggy, dunno what it was really, but it felt slow.
And all the sudden people lost the ability to last hit, someone picked WW to jungle but when he entered game he wanted to lane bc he didnt know how to jungle, ashe in bot lane kept eating morgana combos while standing still in a brush(?????????) and not last hitting anything and ends up on 0/10 and complaining about kill steals in team fights..
kennen gets killed while blue pilling right next to mid tower when the enemy team is pushing..
nidalee goes 0/3 with WW in top lane within the first minutes and is lvl 3 when everyone else is lvl 6 - 7
I had this thought in my head that it'd be similiar to normal games in terms of skill level, but this was like lvl 10 but a ranked game, like how is this even possible? Im so sad right now and I really don't want to go through this shit again, ill stick to normals :s
And before people pull the "well u probably suck yourself"-card, i played a good game with malph.. participated in every team fight, had highest cs / kdr in team, covered a few towers that were about to be taken out, warded dragon and baron and killed a few through ganks.. but it like.. didn't matter at all. Hidden ELO should affect starting ranked games imo :s

That's because you played just a single ranked game. The more you play the more elo will you gain (IF you are better than the current elo you are in)

Besides, it's not like I don't know how to play every hero. Reason I "raged" back then was because I always like to have a jungle, gives your team such an edge in the game. But in "unranked" ranked matches, no one seems to know that and they usually just go 2 duo lanes. And because of that, in some situations where everyone's picking good solo heroes, I usually go jungle then.
But if your the top solo lane can't hold the 1v2 and your mid is failing. This edge is somewhat gone, if you throw in some failed ganks then you don't have an edge at all, but they do!

All I'm trying to say is: "I might not be as good as you, dear sir 5hitcombo. But I'm quite confident that I'm better than the guys I'm playing with at the moment. And in due time the ELO will go up and prove that."
Plus, I'm currently 7 - 1. I don't know about you, but I thinks that's not bad at all.
I've played Ashe (1w/1), Sivir (1w/1), Malphite (2w/2), Nunu (3w/4).

There's nothing wrong with 2 duo lanes, you just have to 2v1 them effectively, and you can also deny their jungle really hard with some good warding (ie. wreck em when they go for their blue buff, quite easy if mid and bot/top comes for a 3v1). But like, if it's 2v1, you can usually zone them pretty well, sometimes to the point where both of you are the same level as their solo. Just think about what jungling does - the jungler is using the jungle to get exp, and giving the 1v2 extra exp. So how do you counter that? Rape them 2v1 and/or rape their jungler.

This is making the assumption that your lane partner knows how to play a 2v1 correctly, which, at 1200-1300 Elo, they probably don't-- at that Elo, you're probably lucky if you get a lane partner that actually last hits instead of just auto-attacking minions and pushing the lane.

In other news I just tanked 120 elo this weekend. Looks like Christmas break is going to be full of fun elo harvesting. Having an 11 losing streak is a unique experience none the less. Its like a match history of all victories except its all losses. Another amusing experience is raping everyone as corky and then having your entire team fed their team but then acing their team as the only survivor but then losing a minute later. Really fun stuff.
